Snack Pak 4 Kids... On An Empty Stomach You Can’t Learn Anything
Snack Pak 4 Kids is a non-profit organization that provides backpacks filled with food for children who are most at risk for hunger on the weekends. Teachers, school counselors and social workers determine which children are most at risk, and these are the children who receive snack paks. Snack pak bags are packed by volunteers, delivered to the school and discreetly placed in the children’s backpacks to be sent home each Friday. Facts: Merriam-Webster defines hunger as a craving or urgent need for food or a specific nutrient; an uneasy sensation occasioned by the lack of food; a weakened condition brought about by prolonged lack of food.
