Breakthrough technologies, advanced precision acoustic engineering, touchscreen control, Amate Audio’s next-generation ACTIVE +™ integrated power and control platform, and Dante® AoIP; these are just some of the top line features of this phase linear, 2x12” (LF), full range line array.
Power and precision The distinctive V-shape cabinet geometry and 3-way active transducer configuration, has been optimized throughout an extensive R&D program by our design team, to deliver extraordinary levels of performance that include 100° horizontal and 8° vertical coverage, with constant directivity in the horizontal plane, and exceptional SPL. The 2x12” LF, 4x 6” MF and dual 3” HF transducer pairings are discretely enclosed and independently powered and protected with separate limiter settings with differing time constants.
Touch Control Amate Audio’s next-generation ACTIVE +™ power and control platform features unique touchscreen control of the various system parameters. The highly ergonomic GUI provides easy and rapid access to the various DSP system control parameters, on the rear panel mounted 3.5” TFT colour touchscreen. This also provides monitoring of system-performance and protection parameters, including Amate Audio’s unique AC overvoltage protection circuit.Full system remote control via ethernet or wi-fi is enabled with Amate Audio’s DSPStudio™ application.
ACTIVE+TM ACTIVE +™ control technology replaces all of the external amplifier and system control racks – and the requisite cabling – of conventional loudspeaker systems; circumventing all of the associated additional cost and risk of component or connectivity failure. Integrating 3rd generation Class D amplification – delivering 4000 W of discrete 3-way power – advanced FIR/IIR filtering and multi-channel DSP system management, ACTIVE +™ provides unequalled levels of operability
including sophisticated and powerful application specific system presets for near instantaneous configuration – making optimum system performance achievable in a fraction of the time required to ‘tune’ conventional line arrays.A 90% efficiency switched-mode power supply – with selectable EcoMode – enables maximum power delivery with minimum consumption, and greatly reduced size and weight.

DSP Studio
The design achieves very high output levels, with constant directivity on the horizontal axis and near-absolute phase linearity; resulting from the combination of advanced cabinet design and Active+™ FIR/IIR filtering. The system provides wide uniform coverage for very large auditoriums and outdoor venues, considerably in advance of current market expectations.
Design Efficiencies The X2121AF achieves very high output levels, with constant directivity on the horizontal axis and near-absolute phase linearity, providing the wide uniform coverage and full frequency sound quality for truly large-scale touring sound, event and fixed auditoria and arena applications. With a comparatively compact lightweight cabinet, weighing in at just 65 kg, a host of design features make the X212AF highly versatile and efficient. These include the Amate Audio developed speaker grille. Just 1.5 mm thick with a 67% ‘best-in-class’ perforation coefficient, making it almost sonically transparent, it significantly improves both the weight and the sound. It also enhances the appearance of the multilayer baltic birch plywood Polyurea® coated cabinet, which provides maximum reliability and strength for touring and other physically demanding applications An array of flying and stacking accessories and aides – including the ACTIVE+™ tilt angle indicator feature – makes the X212AF exceptionally easy to handle and deploy.
