Stepping Back Into the eighties... Just like in any decade or generation, some trends or lets not even say some trends; in my opinion trends are influenced by many celebrities. Some trends I’m starting to see more of would be funky footwear, inspired from the 80’s. There are a lot of animal prints, chunky heels, and pointy toes. Who had a big media influence on these kinds of style would be Brian Setzer and his band the stray cats. If you don’t know who Brian Setzer and his band is let me give you a little background on them. Brian is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. The kind music him and his band performed was rock and roll, swing, rockabilly, and jump blues. He was mostly successful in the 1980’s, but the most unique thing about Brian and his band was that they had this 1950’s style to them, wow. How did they pull that off must have been their looks;)

Elements and Importance Back in the 80’s this kind of style was so significant because it showed attitude, personality, identity, and rebelling in a way. Now this trend I would say has different style lines and the way the shoe looks, while only so slightly. We may have a lot more technology now, but that shoe does take you back to the 50’s just by looking at the shape of the show and back to the 80’s because of the print.
