Nooked Out This term the class was asked to design an office, market and retail complex in Liberty Village Particularly at 9 Hanna Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. There is 41 000 sm of office, 11 000 sm of parking, 4000 sm of open out door space as required by brief. Surround the site are residential towers, industrial renovated retail spaces and developing small buisnesses. On the south of the site is an attached park and proposed road way and beyond is the GO train line and Gardener. My concept of the Nook is to create a corner or recess espeically one offereing seclusion or security. Due to the site being in nature a public one, the goal is instread to create public spaces that encourage the community to be comfortable with itself.
