PROJECT – COTTON TEXTILE INDUSTRY Preamble/ Introduction/ background: Madhya Pradesh is the fourth largest cotton producing state in India. The cotton produced in M.P. is send to Punjab and Gujrat to make the yarn which is later purchased by the state. It is necessary to have a cotton textile industry in the state of M.P. to cut down the to and FRO motion of the cotton production. Objectives of the Thesis. The goal is to design a cotton textile industry in the city of Ujjain to save the cost of transportation of cotton. Project/ site description The site is in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The site is in the industrial zone of Ujjain and in the outskirts of the core city. The site has highway to its east. The site has access from four directions – north, south, west and east.

Methodology: Live case studies of similar industries. Research of the entire cotton production process.
