HEALTH & BEAUTY Bakewell Town Football Club
Bakewell Town FCs Adult section completed a very productive season on Friday night with a draw against league runners up Cromford and Wirksworth Town FC, having just been crowned Central Midlands Division One (Central) Champions, in addition to the League Cup win against Derby Singh Brothers the week prior.

The travelling fans went in hordes to that final, held at Blidworth and were backed up by an amazing 155 people in attendance at Bakewells Rutland Recreation ground just days later, yet again showing the continued growth and undoubted potential of the club. As the players entered the pitch, through a guard of honour conducted by the Junior ranks, the chant of Championees from the fledglings was an added extra for Towns squad of double winners, who were presented with their full trophy haul after the match.
The Adult men’s promotion campaign has been built on a solid foundation that has seen long standing experienced players placed with a plethora of graduates from the Junior sides, a pathway that has also seen a remarkable expansion, aligned to a ‘one club’ ethos. The individual team numbers have swelled to an alltime high of 23; now catering for age groups from Junior kickers right through to Veterans, with the club extremely proud of its U18s League Cup winners and the most recent development into the girls and ladies game. The club now embarks on a busy summer ahead, following the league committees ground grading, as we look to work with the facility provider and local councillors to ensure that minor works are completed in order to ratify the club’s promotion to the Feeder Leagues (old Step 7) and the first official rung on the football pyramid, namely the Central Midlands Premier Division.
What are the current wants, needs and ambitions of our club…?
We want to be competitive, certainly at adult level, but more importantly we want to continue to mature players in a fun, friendly and organised environment from our Junior section, through to our competitive development team structure and then into our Adult first teams. We continue to welcome our communities support and encourage any individuals that believe they have something to offer and want to get involved (at any level) to simply get in touch from administrators, team coaching to match-day help. We need better, modern facilities and more pitch space that would unlock significant funding streams; a site with potential to develop a marquee pitch and clubhouse that could double up as a community space, a grander, exciting project that might interest anyone who wants to help create a legacy as observed across many other communities.
Most of all we want to continue to grow the club and promote the sporting activity that we love, we’ve seen it’s a product that people want to buy into and one that we believe contributes so much to our local community.

FOOT SCAN SYSTEM!
Our Foot Scan system allows us to see how your body weight is being distributed over your feet when standing and walking. It provides us with very useful information to help determine why you may be experiencing problems with your feet or with how you are moving. It can also be used for assessing if you have a leg length difference and also, how much pressure you put on each limb. This information is useful to help us find out what may be leading to your problem and when we are prescribing orthoses. You stand, walk or run over the mat and the computer does the rest. Have a look at our website for more information or give us a call to have a chat to see how we can help.
