After 15 months of pandemic pullback, we’re taking a moment to stop, exhale, and just enjoy the idea that hundreds of banking pros are coming together in New England for the 2021 edition of BankWorld. Not on a Zoom call. Not via text messaging. But live, in person, with colleagues just feet away. Wow. This is a turning point for everyone. With mask requirements falling for the vaccinated, bank and credit union leaders need to see how they can still operate safely. With government programs adapting, lenders need to know how their practices and products need to change, too. And after a year apart, the importance of tech has never been clearer.

BankWorld looks to deliver on that. But it also looks to embrace the humanity that we all have come to recognize. And we’re proud that, as part of that, and as the focus of this issue, we’re also raising up and recognizing more than a dozen rising bank executives.
