What is the Multicultural Visiting Program? This program enables socially isolated elderly or people with a disability to receive FREE fortnightly visits from one of our multicultural volunteers for the purpose of friendship and companionship. We specialise in matching clients to volunteers with a shared cultural and/or linguistic background. Who is eligible for a volunteer visitor? Home Care Package recipients who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing social isolation. If the client is not a recipient of HCP we still provide volunteering services through different programs. How do I request a volunteer visitor? Complete the AMCS Memorandum of Understanding form on behalf of your organisation and an AMCS Client Referral Form for each of your clients. Return completed forms to AMCS. Program Benefits • decreases risk of depression and/or anxiety caused by social isolation •

•
saves client’s individual HCP funding for other non-companionship services
•
