Small engines, boats, jet skis and snow mobiles that use this fuel are more likely to damage 2 stroke engines due to increased engine temperatures Some boats come with fiberglass fuel tanks and hulls which can be a terrible combination when mixed with ethanol. PROTECTING YOUR INVESTMENTS

Ethanol fuel is corrosive to rubber, plastic fuel components, gaskets and some metal parts. It attracts and bonds with water in the air that creates a phase separation. The ethanol/water mix then separates from the fuel and falls to the bottom of the tank forming a brown syrup, which clogs fuel filters, fuel pumps & carburetors. As the fuel evaporates, the brown syrup forms a hard shellac, plastic-like material, creating more damage to fuel lines, injectors, seals, valve seats and carburetors. This damage is known to take place with E10, so with 5% more ethanol, the problem is compounded further with E15. Some auto, small engine and motorcycle manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by ethanol fuel. Check with your manufacturer for more information.
