World renowned for his legendary inclusivity as much for explorer tourism, he blogged often about the manya-truth said in his jest. These many truths matter to CKC. Chair Charles Michener is starkly aware that the “great white male explorer” in many ways still dominates AMC’s world where about three out of five trip leaders and chairs are white males–and half of these are heirs of the greatest generation.
