Your mama always told you to eat your vegetables. And she was right!

Remember growing up as kids? Your parents consistently telling you eat your vegetables? Well, you should have listened to them. On a side note: if you probably grew up in my era, then vegetables weren’t a staple in the household; how sad. Today we are going to discuss the magnificent power and health benefits of our friendly vegetable Broccoli. Broccoli is a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and an excellent sources of fiber. Broccoli is considered to be one of the most powerful detoxifying vegetables known to man. Broccoli also contains the minerals manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc Vit C, K, A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folate and E.


These are just the surface of the benefits Broccoli, today we will discuss one key compound that makes Broccoli a power house of a vegetable. The compound is Sulforaphane: an organosulfur compound that exhibits anticancer, antidiabetic, andantimicrobial properties.
