Cottonways
Cottonways has been on Amelia Island for 12 years, but the owner, Jennifer Davis McNeill, has been off ering a comfortable and sophisticated clothing line since February 2006. Jennifer turned down post-graduation job off ers to follow her dream, opening her fi rst store in downtown Melbourne, Florida. “In February 2009, we opened the doors on our second location in Fernandina Beach,” says Jennifer. She now also has stores in St. Augustine, Vero Beach, and Winter Park.
It’s no wonder the clothing line is so successful. When walking by the store on Centre Street, it is hard not to stop to take a closer look at the beautiful clothes on display. Th e best part about the clothing line is that it is nearly maintenancefree. Cottonways outfi ts are washer- and dryer-safe and don’t require ironing.
“I love that we have such a wide variety of sizes,” says Bonnie Kimmel. Bonnie has worked at Cottonways for nine years. She said she loves the fact that so many people who come to Amelia Island on their yearly vacations shop at Cottonways. “It’s always nice to see them.”
When she’s not outfi tting customers with their newest favorite outfi ts, Bonnie is busy with her two kids—son, Sullivan, and daughter, Bayla—and a new puppy, an 8-monthold Lab/Shepherd mix named Disco Maui adopted from Nassau Humane Society. Cottonways is located at 313 Centre Street in downtown Fernandina Beach. For more information, call (904) 261-0311 or visit their website at cottonways.com.
