ott’s Furniture is a third-generation family business founded in Waycross, Georgia. “It was started by my grandfather, Jack H. Lott, in 1947,” says Laura Lott Harris. One aspect of the family’s business that always attracted Laura is buying and merchandising. “During college, I would work at the Atlanta AmericasMart in the fine linens showroom, and then I would help my parents shop for our showroom in Waycross. It helped inspire my passion for it.” Fourteen years ago, Laura came back to Lott’s after working in the corporate world for a few years. Her favorite part of the business? “We have lots of repeat customers, wonderful clients that I’m very grateful for. I’ve enjoyed getting to know many of them over the years as they have let us help them furnish their homes.” You’ll find the best home furnishing selections for every room in your home in the store’s beautiful, updated showrooms. No item is too small or job too big for the Lott’s Furniture team. They’re also happy to assist you through phone calls, text, and email. When Laura isn’t at the store, she spends time with her family. She and her husband, John, have a four-year-old son, Luke, and a one-year-old daughter, Ellie. “We also have a Maltese, Salty, that’s 12, but we still call her our puppy. We love spending time at the beach and dining out around the island. We’re fortunate to live in such a great place.” For more information, stop by the store at 2110 Sadler Square, call (904) 261-6333, or visit www.lottsfurniture.com.

Bling Staging and Redesign

inda Love of Bling Staging and Redesign has over 20 years of experience in Interior Design. Originally from South Carolina, she lived in Colorado for 18 years, where she and her daughter owned a store in Pagosa Springs called The Hideout, a store filled to the brim with rustic one-of-a-kind pieces. Linda also worked as an interior designer there, teaming up with contractors on renovations and new homes under construction. She loved her work, but when her daughter and granddaughter moved to Palm Beach, she decided it was time to retire and followed them to Florida. However, Palm Beach was a little too busy for Linda. “I’d visited Fernandina Beach many times and I decided it just suited me better,” she remembers. When she moved to Amelia Island from Palm Beach five years ago, Linda bought a new house that was a blank canvas. In making it her own, she realized how much she missed her work and meeting new people. “So I took a course in Staging with Transformations in Jacksonville and got certified,” says Linda. “The next step was to come up with a name for my business. People always talk about my ‘bling,’ so the name was decided and Bling Staging and Redesign was born.” Linda’s motto, “We Bring the Bling,” is as much about her fun and lively personality as it is about the beauty she brings to the homes she works on. She is a whirlwind of a lady, who brings a “WOW” factor into every room she enters. For more information, give Linda a call at (970) 946-7467 or email her at lindablove01@hotmail.com.
