Surrounding the performance venues are production spaces such as fabrication labs, rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and a library on the top floors.

IN-BETWEEN
IN-BETWEEN Charlottesville, VA Housing Complex Sprint 2019 | Foundation Studio Ill Instructor: A. Averbeck Sitting in between the bustle and bustle of the Water Street and the tranquil south street, this project responds to the different conditions on the four sides. With the trapazoid shape in response to the railway not far behind, the tower steps down from the east and west ends and converge in the middle, framing a view of the adjacent landmark hotel while maintaining the urban edge on all for sides. Lassoed by the tower, a simi-private urban garden stands on the plinth, transitioning the vibe between the bussy street and private residential areas. Within the tower, with the corridors going in and out on each floor, micro-climates are created including roofed-open common spaces, pocket gardens, as well as four types of units.
