CL ARITY
Fast-forward 10 years. We are in a state of recovery from the anti-social cyber world. The development of technology used to monitor health is at its climax as we begin to self-diagnose and treat. Technology responds to negative feelings in order to create emotional balance. Mental well-being is a focus as illnesses such as depression and addiction are curable. Humans hold stronger and more honest relationships as a result of emotional transparency. We find it hard to verbalise our feelings however we are able to communicate this through the expression of colour. The colours and materials used for fashion have a calm uplifting effect which encourage feelings of comfort and safety. Soft rounded edges and organic forms are shapes that are explored in this trend.
We hold responsibility for the monitoring of our own health as sensors are applied to the skin and are woven within textile fabrics. Self-Awareness of personal conditions allows us the freedom to treat ourselves and truly focus on our wellbeing. Physical and mental health are treated equally through the use of technology, with our emotional state being of high importance.
Dopamine: Creates feelings of pleasure and motivation.
Hidden emotions become transparent as we visually display our feelings through fashion. Clothing will have the ability to adapt and alter our feelings through interwoven actuators and pressure sensors. This communication of emotion provides a new experience, particularly engaging with vision and touch. It is a more comforting knowing where we stand which will lead to stronger human relationships.
Serotonin: Creates the feeling of happiness.
Humans come together as a secondary support system. We reconnect through creative methods of communication which interact with our senses. Social interaction is important to our recovery away from the cyber world. It is a time to solely focus on ourselves and others. Communicating through colour is key to this development.
Touch and vision are the most used senses as they work together in order to adapt mentality. Sponge, foam, leather and other mouldable materials are significant of the human body. Light therapy is used to heal conditions such as depression and addiction, therefore encouraging people to have a happier, more positive outlook on life.
[noun] A way of communication expressed visually. A language which allows others to read how one feels in order to adapt and support.
