Home Furniture Employee Spotlight: Paul Le
“I love my job, helping people, it’s what I love.” Paul Le has been with Home Furniture for almost two years as a sales associate at the New Iberia location. To say he’s thrilled with where his career has taken him is a bit of an understatement. “This is one of the best companies I’ve worked for overall. No one’s perfect, but this is probably pretty close,” explains Paul. Paul says it’s the feeling of family that he gets from the Home Furniture staff that makes this job feel like a home, “It’s not exactly
a small company, but you are more than just a name. You can go talk to the CEO.” He is the son of immigrants and actually lived in Florida as a child before his father’s piloting career landed the family in Lafayette. After graduating high school, he moved around a bit, living in Texas, New York, and California before coming back to Acadiana.
That is why comfort is considered the main criterion for choosing an American sofa.
“My dad flew with PHI, we were lucky to end up here,” says Paul. He’s also decided to raise his son, a junior in high school, in Lafayette. Paul found Home Furniture after deciding to make a career change. “To see the smile on the customer’s face after we help them achieve their goals, it’s so nice to be helpful every day.” Paul says he’s also learned a lot on the job. It’s actually helped him flex his design muscles. “I like decorating. I like all that, so that helps. Now, I knew nothing about furniture, but I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been here.” The one thing that really stands out to Paul about his latest career is how Home Furniture operates with the customer and staff in mind, “They are very supportive of the sales staff,” explains Paul. “Meaning, they help us support the customers. When we say we’ll do something, we do it. We are very good in customer service” Paul says this job is really something special, “I’m happy! I’m happy to come to work.”
