VERTICAL DILATATION FIVE HOUSES In Paris, a vertical house with a workshop and a living space.

On this small parcel the objective is to work about height, vertical dilatation and logical organization of the different spaces. The workshop is located on the ground floor, opened to the city and benefiting the north light. The living space takes place on the superior levels, receives south light through a work on terraces and double height.

SECTIONS - Vertical dilation created by double height and outside spaces, bringing the light within the building. 5

ANALYZING IBIZA HOUSE, VICENS + RAMOS In Ibiza, a holiday house for a couple and their two children.

The villa is located in full nature, on a hill overlooking an amazing site. The project looks like a game made by rectangular blocks. They define spaces and aperture on the landscape. These blocks are covered by a translucent surface and they are reflecting the plants, the water basins and themselves. This game creates a shifting space made of shadows and lights; where initially makes you feel in well geometric shapes.

VOLUMETRIC GAME POLIAKOFF LIBRARY In Pereire Levallois, Paris, a small local library.

The conception of the library is inspired by the work of Serge Poliakoff. The painting is composed of abstract shapes. It is possible to imagine the shapes as plans with different heights. Because of the height differences the light is able to easily enter. Also, ceiling differences create different type of spaces.

ROOF PLAN - Plans at different heights

In the table, the shapes can be divided into two parts: a centre and its’ periphery. Two main horizontal lines structure the project. The white shape makes the linchpin of the composition. In the library it is the central wall, highlighted by a zenithal light.

LIGHT DIALOGUE CULTURAL FOUNDATION CitĂŠ Universitaire, in Paris. A cultural foundation including two exposition areas, one cafeteria, one administration department and six apartments-workshop for artists.

12

The project is based on three strips separated by outside spaces. This organisation enables a clear repartition of the different functions. It provides, depending of the need of each space, a smooth light from the north or a lively light from the south.

VERTICAL HOLE 12 HOUSING Belleville in Paris, the building consists two studios, two 1+1, two 2+1, two 3+1, two 4+1 and two atypical flats.

The building is drawn in two blocks, separated by a vertical hole. Around this hole, circulation areas and hanged terraces are alternating. This organization offers to the habitants some exterior spaces looking to the street but protected. 0

ATYPICAL FLATS - The first flat - on the left picture - is longitudinally organized. Each space is separated from other by a patio. It creates an interplay between empty and full volumes. The second flat - on the right picture - is designed on two levels. It opens itself to the city with a bright living space, which benefits of a triple orientation.

AN INTERIOR URBANITY ART SCHOOL At the corner of two streets, an art school including an auditorium, a library, workshops, studios, classrooms and an administration part.

The project is organized in two squares, one on the ground floor looking to the boulevard, one including the superior levels and looking to the garden. The tension generated by these two squares creates an urbanity within the building. The school offers a space of exchange and creation to the city. At the same time it is also a studying place, which is able to provide calm and quiet spaces to the students.

THE CUBE 4 HOUSING Four flats in a cube, next to the river.

One 2+1, two 3+1 and one 4+1. The project is based on the implementation of a housing typology, used and declined for different types of apartment. In this typology, the living room and the kitchens are separated by an exterior space : a loggia or a patio. This organization creates a visual continuity but a physical border. The whole volume is organized around a central patio. There are two types of flats. The first ones are oriented to the south with a loggia looking to the river. The second ones are double oriented, they have a crossing living room and a loggia looking to the patio.

The project takes place on a large parcel of 7400 m2. We are working in team of two people. The size of the project is bringing urban issues. Where to build ? How to create a park ? How to divide the parcel ? After this first part we define an abstract figure of our idea and divide the project into two parts. Each student develops one part.

EL VENTORRILLO, SPAIN URBAN PROJECT El Ventorrillo, an urban project in a small village close to the city of Granada in Spain.

The village is characterized by a very low density and a lake of economic and cultural activities. However, it continues to grow up at the expense of the surrounding rural areas. How to control the expansion of the village ? How to boost the area ? The project proposes the creation of a pedestrian street, parallel to the main road and protected by a high building including equipment and housing. This building is porous, with apertures on the ground level. It is at the same time a link to the road and gives protection. It permits to increase the density of the area and their economic activities. On the other side of this pedestrian street, the project offers green spaces and different types of buildings: blocks, houses‌
