When death knocked on last farewell When four friends went to the desert to bid farewell to each other, little did they know that they will be saying goodbye to the world forever. An accident involving three cars on Academic City Road at 11.30pm on Monday caused the death of four students and left five others injured, including the driver who caused the crash. NAJAF eyes USA$1.9bn Edu market NAJAH, the country's leading higher education and career exhibition, has witnessed 95 per cent of its floor space sold two month out from the event.NAJAH, which takes place from 28 to 30 October at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, has seen increased interest from international institutions, with Enterprise Ireland, Leeds Metropolitan University and Italy's Laureate Design Universities among others all taking part this year. Moving away from global participation, a number of leading local institutions have signed up to take part in NAJAH this year including Abu Dhabi University, Khalifa University ofScience and Technology, American University of Sharjah, Masdar Institute, American University in the Emirates, Al Ain University, Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology and The University of Jazeera among others. Dh70m upgrade for roads in Ajman Unpaved, pot-holed and poorly maintained roads in Ajman are to have a Dh70 million upgrade. Drivers say the upgrade is badly needed. “The streets of some areas like Al Rawda, Al Hamidiya and Al Nuaimia are neglected. NAJAH 95% sold-out as industry sets eye on UAE’s $1.9bn education market NAJAH, the country’s leading higher education and career exhibition, has witnessed 95% of its floor space sold two month out from the event. Mirroring this, recent findings from US-based strategic advisory firm, The Parthenon Group, put the value of the K-12 education market in the UAE at $1.9bn with Dubai having the fastestgrowing enrolment in private international schools of any major city in the world. NAJAH, which takes place from 28 to 30 October at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, has seen increased interest from international institutions, with Enterprise Ireland, Leeds Metropolitan University and Italy’s Laureate Design Universities among others all taking part this year.
