CAAD students earn nine awards at Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award : Monday, December 16 - 2013 @ 08:29 Students from the College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) won nine of the 13 awards at the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award 2013. The awards were reviewed by a renowned panel of judges from the local and international arts community. Bahar Al Bahar scooped the prestigious People’s Choice Award, which is decided by public vote, for his work “Fusion” while Samar Idris and Tayma Bittard won first and second prize, respectively in the Multimedia category. Sara Alagroobi, Bahar Al Bahar and Nada Abu Shakra, received first, second and third prizes, respectively, in the Photography category. Joint second prize for the Fine Arts category was won by Hatem Hatem for his work “Identify Portrait” and Nasser Alzayani for “Wind Towers.” Third place was awarded to Sara Alagroobi for “Solace.” The top three prizes in each category carried cash awards of AED 50,000, AED 30,000 and AED 20,000. The awards were presented in Dubai on December 8. Thirty AUS students made the final shortlist of 50. The panel of judges included Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum, Founder of FN Designs; Sheikha Maisa Al Qassimi, Programmes Manager at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi; Marjan Farjam, Director of The Farjam Foundation; Antonia Carver, Director of Art Dubai; and Cyril Zammit, Director of Design Days. Peter Di Sabatino, Dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Design at AUS, said, “We are very proud to have, yet again, won a number of awards at the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award. With a total of nine awards, I am pleased to see our young students being recognized for their creative work, which of course is complimented by the great support and excellent education of our faculty.” The Sheikha Manal Young Artists Awards were launched in 2006 as an annual visual art competition, designed to encourage, recognize and promote emerging artists from the UAE. The award is popular among university students majoring in art, design and multimedia. The contest is open to all UAE-based students, male and female, between 18 and 30 years old. ollege of Engineering; and the School of Business and Management. Engineering freshmen at AUS compete to build fastest motor-less racecar : Thursday, December 19 - 2013 @ 06:07 Almost 600 engineering freshmen at American University of Sharjah (AUS) built motor-less racecars out of basic material such as paper, CDs, plastic cups, rubber bands, and balloons, at the 10th NGN 110 Introduction to Engineering and Computing Competition held on Sunday, December 15, 2013. The students were divided into 112 multidisciplinary teams and had to practice their engineering skills to design cars that could cross a 10meter racetrack in the shortest time yet have the lightest car weight. The competition, now in its 10th edition, is part of the first-year course Introduction to Engineering and Computing (NGN 110) taken by all AUS engineering students. AUS offers bachelor of science degrees in chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering, as well as computer science. The participants represented all College of Engineering majors, and the goal of the competition was to help students enhance their teamwork, engineering design, problem solving, time management and communication skills. “All students receive the same project idea and are given six weeks to complete their project,” said Dr. Fadi Aloul, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and coordinator of the competition. “The goal of the competition is to challenge students to think out of the box, be innovative, learn how to research, work with others, seek experts, explore new ideas and convert solutions from a simple idea to a real product. The competition also encourages students to interact with each other to produce creative designs and compete with each other. Students prepared hundreds of models, many of which were impressive and showed the quality and effort put into their designs. Their hard work, dedication and excitement made the event a great success,” he added. The first place was won by Mohamad Ahmed Marashde, Qasim Raza, Ali Babar, Mohannad Ashraf Basal and Suhail Salem Alablam. The team won AED 1,750 and their car weighed 52 grams and crossed the track in 4.72 seconds. The competition judges included Dr. Ayman El-Hag, Dr. Ibrahim Deiab, Dr. Murat Gunduz, Dr. Salwa Beheiry and Naveed Nawaz from the AUS College of Engineering. The best designs were recognized at the end of the competition, and awards and cash prizes were distributed to members of the winning teams by Dr. Leland Blank, Dean of the College of Engineering. According to Dr. Blank, “The objective of such a competition is for students to be able to work calmly under the stress that is created from a team-building environment where you have particular fixed parameters: time, weight, speed. You have to compete with other people you may know, and you learn to compete in a friendly way so that everybody wins. Whether you get the prize or not you win because you’ve accomplished something, you’ve grown and you’ve worked with people in a way you may have never done before. So what’s the goal? The goal is the experience and to gain knowledge, and to be, in the long run, a better engineer.” The event attracted a large audience of students, faculty members and university officials, including Dr. Thomas Hochstettler, Acting Chancellor; Salem Al Qaseer, Vice Chancellor of Public Affairs; Ali Shuhaimy, Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management; Dr. Gautam Sen, Vice Provost of Research and Graduate Studies; and Dr. Mahmoud Anabtawi, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. In previous years, the competition required students to design and construct bridges, cars, helicopters, boats and paper planes, among other structures.

Weighing up th e benefi ts of overseas stu dy Published: 17 Dec 2013 09:16 What are the advantages of studying overseas as opposed to winning admission to one of the UK's bette r known univ ersiti es? Possibly the biggest is the life experience the overseas student will gain at a critical career juncture when the whole concept of personal development is arguably particularly important offering the chance to experience a new culture and learn how to adapt to exciting new challenges. If this rosy overview also takes into account courses which upon fruition are likely to point the way to solid career paths the objective becomes obviously worthwhile, even if a broadly comparable result in terms of academic achievement could be accomplished in the UK. University overseas puts the student not only in close touch with the host culture whether its that of the USA, the Gulf states or Japan but also automatically opens up many new potential directions which might be worth exploring in later life. The Gulf states, to take an obvious example, are at the very hub of transregional international commerce, with an economy geared to a continued expansion which is based on a steady infusion of professional expertise as much as it is upon petro-dollars. The educational environment is ambitious and dynamic, reflecting the mores of a country determined to create within its boundaries an international centre of academic excellence. To a outsider the concept of an institution such as the American University of Sharjah might sound strange, with its America syllabus yet strong emphasis on the Arab cultural context, but add to this an approach clearly aimed at preparing students for the realities of the business and commercial world and you arguably have a fascinating option for potential overseas students to consider. Looked at this way, the overseas American university is not foreign in the accepted sense, and instead substitutes for the familiar UK environment a truly international academic milieu. It is one which interacts both with the strongest educational elements of the host culture and with the global industries upon which Sharjah and the other states depend. The close ties with American industry, in particular, immediately puts the student in an environment which is linked directly to the firms acting as the cutting edge of international economic development. mechanical engineering courses, but with a built-in pragmatism that continually reinforces the necessity for sound resources management. Whether this very different sort of academic approach will ultimately yield better career prospects than a degree at a British university will depend to a large extent on the general range of study courses and possible outcomes the student can reasonably expect to achieve ​ and on the potential within a given course for identifying and then pursuing particular specialities. However it is one interesting example of how overseas study can yield benefits on a variety of levels, providing an ​away from home​ international focus to study while opening up previously undreamed of opportunities to develop and pursue major opportunities in anything from education to marine engineering. Deciding whether this approach offers truly decisive benefits can never be easy, and relies upon close study of the options and, ideally, a trip to the country in question to look at some of the claimed advantages in detail. However for students with an eye to forging close links with the world of global commerce, or research, education, IT, engineering, medical science and the rest, an overseas study choice surely has to be a serious option.

Abu Dhabi: UAE University (UAEU) has improved its ranking to be the country’s top university and 76th internationally among the world’s top universities in the Times Higher Education BRICS and Emerging Economies Rankings in 2013-2014. The Times Higher Education BRICS and Emerging Economics Rankings are the only global university performance tables to judge world-class universities across all of their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The ranking, which measures institutions in countries classified as emerging economies including BRICS nations of Brazil, China, Russia, India and South Africa, ranked UAEU in 76th place among the top 100 universities. The UAEU and the American University of Sharjah, which was ranked in 79th place, are the only universities in the UAE to make the top 100. The UAEU had a total score of 22.6 per cent; with international leaders Peking University amassing 65 per cent. طﻠﺒﺔ ﺍﻟﺠﺎﻣﻌﺔ ﺍﻷﻣﯿﺮﻛﯿﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﺭﻗﺔ ﯾﺤﺼﺪون ﺗﺴﻊ ﺟﻮﺍﺋﺰ ﻓﻲ ﺟﺎﺋﺰﺓ ﺍﻟﺸﯿﺨﺔ ﻣﻨﺎل ﻟﻠﻔﻨﺎن ﺍﻟﺸﺒﺎﺏ 15 12 2013 · ﻁﻠﺑﺔ ﻛﻠﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ ﻳﺣﺻﺩﻭﻥ ﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ ﻓﺋﺔ:ﺍﺧﺗﻳﺎﺭ ﺍﻟﺟﻣﻬﻭﺭ ،ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺟﻣﻳﻠﺔ ،ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻭﻳﺭ ﺍﻟﻔﻭﺗﻭﻏﺭﺍﻓﻲ ،ﻭﺍﻟﻭﺳﺎﺋﻁ ﺍﻟﻣﺗﻌﺩﺩﺓ اﻟﺷﺎﺭﻗﺔ :ﺣﺻﺩ ﻁﻠﺑﺔ ﻣﻥ ﻛﻠﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ ﺍﻷﻣﻳﺭﻛﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺷﺎﺭﻗﺔ ﺗﺳﻊ ﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ ﻣﻥ ﺃﺻﻝ ﺛﻼﺛﺔ ﻋﺷﺭ ﻓﻲ ﺟﺎﺋﺯﺓ ﺍﻟﺷﻳﺧﺔ ﻣﻧﺎﻝ ﻟﻠﻔﻧﺎﻧﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﺷﺑﺎﺏ .ﻭﻭﺯﻋﺕ ﺍﻟﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻷﻋﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﻲ ﻗﻳﻣﺗﻬﺎ ﻟﺟﻧﺔ ﺣﻛﺎﻡ ﻣﺭﻣﻭﻗﺔ ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﺟﺗﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺳﺗﻭﻳﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻣﻲ ﻭﺍﻟﻣﺣﻠﻲ ﻓﻲ ﺩﺑﻲ. ﻭﺣﺻﻝ ﺍﻟﻁﺎﻟﺏ ﺑﺣﺭ ﺍﻟﺑﺣﺭ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺟﺎﺋﺯﺓ ﻓﺋﺔ ﺍﺧﺗﻳﺎﺭ ﺍﻟﺟﻣﻬﻭﺭ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻣﻭﻗﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺗﻲ ﺗﺗﻘﺭﺭ ﺑﻧﺎء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﺻﻭﻳﺕ ﺍﻟﺟﻣﻬﻭﺭ ،ﻭﺫﻟﻙ ﻟﻌﻣﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻲ "ﺗﻼﺣﻡ" ،ﻭﺣﺻﻠﺕ ﺳﻣﺭ ﺇﺩﺭﻳﺱ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻛﺯ ﺍﻷﻭﻝ ﻭﺗﻳﻣﺎ ﺑﻳﺗﺎﺭﺩ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻛﺯ ﺍﻟﺛﺎﻧﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻓﺋﺔ ﺍﻟﻭﺳﺎﺋﻁ ﺍﻟﻣﺗﻌﺩﺩﺓ. ﻭﻧﺎﻝ ﻛﻝ ﻣﻥ ﺳﺎﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﺭﻭﺑﻲ ﻭﺑﺣﺭ ﺍﻟﺑﺣﺭ ﻭﻧﺩﻯ ﺃﺑﻭ ﺷﻘﺭﺍ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﺍﻛﺯ ﺍﻟﺛﻼﺙ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻰ ﻓﻲ ﻓﺋﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻭﻳﺭ ﺍﻟﻔﻭﺗﻭﻏﺭﺍﻓﻲ ،ﻭﺣﻅﻲ ﻛﻝ ﻣﻥ ﺣﺎﺗﻡ ﺣﺎﺗﻡ ﻟﻌﻣﻠﻪ "ﺻﻭﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻬﻭﻳﺔ" ﻭﻧﺎﺻﺭ ﺍﻟﺯﻳﺎﻧﻲ ﻟﻌﻣﻠﻪ"ﺑﺭﺍﺟﻳﻝ" ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻛﺯ ﺍﻟﺛﺎﻧﻲ ﻣﻧﺎﺻﻔﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻓﺋﺔ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺟﻣﻳﻠﺔ ،ﻭﻛﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﻛﺯ ﺍﻟﺛﺎﻟﺙ ﻣﻥ ﺣﻅ ﺳﺎﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﺭﻭﺑﻲ ﻟﻌﻣﻠﻬﺎ "ﺳﻠﻭﺍﻥ". ﻭﺗﺑﻠﻎ ﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﺍﺗﺏ ﺍﻟﺛﻼﺙ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻰ ﻛﻣﺎ ﻳﻠﻲ 50000 :ﺩﺭھﻣﺎ ﻟﻠﻣﺭﺗﺑﺔ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻰ ﻭ 30000ﻟﻠﻣﺭﺗﺑﺔ ﺍﻟﺛﺎﻧﻳﺔ ﻭ 20000ﺩﺭھﻣﺎ ﻟﻠﻣﺭﺗﺑﺔ ﺍﻟﺛﺎﻟﺛﺔ. ﻭﺗﻣﻛﻥ 30ﻣﻥ ﻁﻠﺑﺔ ﺃﻣﻳﺭﻛﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺷﺎﺭﻗﺔ ﺍﻟﻭﺻﻭﻝ ﻟﺟﻭﻟﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻔﻳﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻧﻬﺎﺋﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﻲ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻋﺩﺩ ﺍﻟﻭﺍﺻﻠﻳﻥ ﺇﻟﻳﻬﺎ 50ﻁﺎﻟﺑﺎ.ﻭﺷﺎﺭﻛﺕ ﻓﻲ ﻟﺟﻧﺔ ﺍﻟﺗﺣﻛﻳﻡ ﺍﻟﺷﻳﺧﺔ ﻭﻓﺎء ﺣﺷﺭ ﺁﻝ ﻣﻛﺗﻭﻡ، ﻣﺅﺳﺳﺔ "ﻓﻥ ﻟﻠﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ" ،ﻭﺍﻟﺷﻳﺧﺔ ﻣﻳﺳﺎء ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺳﻣﻲ ،ﻣﺩﻳﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﺑﺭﺍﻣﺞ ﻓﻲ ﺟﻭﻧﺟﻬﺎﻳﻡ ﻓﻲ ﺃﺑﻭﻅﺑﻲ ،ﻭﻣﺭﺟﺎﻥ ﻓﺭﺟﺎﻡ ،ﻣﺩﻳﺭ ﻣﺅﺳﺳﺔ ﻓﺭﺟﺎﻡ ،ﻭﺃﻧﺗﻭﻧﻳﺎ ﻛﺎﺭﻓﺭ ﻣﺩﻳﺭﺓ ﻣﻌﺭﺽ ﺁﺭﺕ ﺩﺑﻲ، ﻭﺳﻳﺭﻳﻝ ﺯﺍﻣﻳﺕ ﻣﺩﻳﺭ ﻣﻌﺭﺽ ﺃﻳﺎﻡ ﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ ﺑﺩﺑﻲ. ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﺩﻛﺗﻭﺭ ﺑﻳﺗﺭ ﺩﻳﺳﺎﺑﺎﺗﻳﻧﻭ ﻋﻣﻳﺩ ﻛﻠﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﻣﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ ﻓﻲ ﺃﻣﻳﺭﻛﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺷﺎﺭﻗﺔ ﻓﻲ ھﺫﻩ ﺍﻟﻣﻧﺎﺳﺑﺔ " :ﺇﻧﻧﺎ ﻧﺷﻌﺭ ﺑﺎﻟﻔﺧﺭ ﺍﻟﺷﺩﻳﺩ ﻟﻔﻭﺯﻧﺎ ﻣﺭﺓ ﺃﺧﺭﻯ ﺑﻌﺩﺩ ﻛﺑﻳﺭ ﻣﻥ ﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ ﺍﻟﺷﻳﺧﺔ ﻣﻧﺎﻝ ﻟﻠﻔﻧﺎﻧﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﺷﺑﺎﺏ ﺑﻣﺟﻣﻭﻉ ﺗﺳﻊ ﺟﻭﺍﺋﺯ .ﻭﻳﺳﺭﻧﻲ ﺃﻥ ﺃﺭﻯ ﻁﻠﺑﺗﻧﺎ ﺍﻟﺷﺑﺎﺏ ﻳﺣﻅﻭﻥ ﺑﺎﻟﺗﻘﺩﻳﺭ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺃﻋﻣﺎﻟﻬﻡ ﺍﻹﺑﺩﺍﻋﻳﺔ ،ﺍﻟﺗﻲ ﺳﺎﻋﺩھﺎ ﺍﻟﺩﻋﻡ ﺍﻟﻘﻭﻱ ﻭﺍﻟﺗﻌﻠﻳﻡ ﺍﻟﻣﺗﻣﻳﺯ ﻣﻥ ﺃﺳﺎﺗﺫﺗﻧﺎ" ﻭﻗﺩ ﺃﻁﻠﻘﺕ ﺟﺎﺋﺯﺓ ﺍﻟﺷﻳﺧﺔ ﻣﻧﺎﻝ ﻟﻠﻔﻧﺎﻧﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﺷﺑﺎﺏ ﻓﻲ 2006ﻛﻣﺳﺎﺑﻘﺔ ﺳﻧﻭﻳﺔ ﻟﻠﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺑﺻﺭﻳﺔ ،ﻭﻗﺩ ﺻﻣﻣﺕ ﻟﺗﺷﺟﻳﻊ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﺎﻧﻳﻥ ﺍﻟﻬﻭﺍﺓ ﻭﺗﺗﻌﺭﻑ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻭﺍھﺑﻬﻡ ﻭﺗﻌﺭﻓﻬﻡ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺟﻣﻬﻭﺭ ﻋﺎﻟﻡ ﺍﻟﻔﻥ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﺭﺍﺕ ،ﻭﻟﻬﺫﺍ ﻟﻠﺟﺎﺋﺯﺓ ﺷﻌﺑﻳﺔ ﻛﺑﻳﺭﺓ ﺑﻳﻥ ﻁﻠﺑﺔ ﺍﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻣﺗﺧﺻﺻﻳﻥ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺟﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻔﻧﻭﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺗﺻﻣﻳﻡ ﻭﺍﻟﻭﺳﺎﺋﻁ ﺍﻟﻣﺗﻌﺩﺩﺓ ،ﻭھﻲ ﻣﻔﺗﻭﺣﺔ ﻟﻛﻝ ﺍﻟﻁﻠﺑﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﺭﺍﺕ ﺫﻛﻭﺭﺍ ﻭﺇﻧﺛﺎﺙ ﻣﻣﻥ ﺗﺗﺭﺍﻭح ﺃﻋﻣﺎﺭھﻡ ﺑﻳﻥ 18ﻭ.30 اﻧﺗﮭﻰ-ﻧﺑﺫة ﻋن اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯾﺭﻛﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺷﺎﺭﻗﺔ
أﻧﺷﺄ ﺻﺎﺣب اﻟﺳﻣو اﻟﺷﯾﺦ اﻟدﻛﺗور ﺳﻠطﺎن ﺑن ﻣﺣﻣد اﻟﻘﺎﺳﻣﻲ ﻋﺿو اﻟﻣﺟﻠس اﻷﻋﻠﻰ ﺣﺎﻛم اﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ ﻋﺎم ،1997وﺗوﺧﻰ ﻓﯾﻬﺎ أن ﺗﻛون ﻣؤﺳﺳﺔ ﺗﻌﻠﯾﻣﯾﺔ ارﺋدة ﻓﻲ ﻣﻧطﻘﺔ اﻟﺧﻠﯾﺞ .وﺗﻘﻊ ﻫذﻩ اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﻣﺳﺗﻘﻠﺔ وﻏﯾر اﻟرﺑﺣﯾﺔ واﻟﺗﻲ ﺗم ﺗﺄﺳﯾﺳﻬﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻧﻣط اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﻲ ،ﻓﻲ اﻟﻣدﯾﻧﺔ اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﯾﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ.
وﻗد دﺧﻠت اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ ﺿﻣن ﺗﺻﻧﯾف أﻓﺿل 450ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻌﺎﻟم ،وذﻟك ﺣﺳب ﺗﺻﻧﯾف ﻛوﻛﺎرﯾﻠﻠﻲ ﺳﯾﻣوﻧد )(QSﻟﻠﺟﺎﻣﻌﺎت ﻓﻲ ﻟﻧدن ،وﻫو واﺣد ﻣن أﻓﺿل اﻟﺗﺻﻧﯾﻔﺎت اﻟﻣﻌﺗﻣدة ﻟﻠﺟﺎﻣﻌﺎت ﻓﻲ اﻟﻌﺎﻟم .وﺗوﻓارﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ 26ﺗﺧﺻﺻﺎً ﻓﻲ درﺟﺔ اﻟﺑﻛﺎﻟورﯾوس و54ﺗﺧﺻﺻًﺎ ﻓرﻋﯾًﺎ و13ﺗﺧﺻﺻًﺎ ﻓﻲ درﺟﺔ اﻟﻣﺎﺟﺳﺗﯾر ﻓﻲ ﻛﻠﯾﺎﺗﻬﺎ اﻟﺗﻲ ﺗﺷﻣل ﻛﻠﯾﺎت اﻟﻌﻣﺎرةواﻟﻔﻧون واﻟﺗﺻﻣﯾم ،اﻵداب واﻟﻌﻠوم ،اﻟﻬﻧدﺳﺔ،واﻹدارة واﻷﻋﻣﺎل .وﺗم ﺗﺻﻣﯾم ﻫذﻩ اﻟﺑارﻣﺞ ﻟﻣواﺟﻬﺔ ﺗﺣدﯾﺎت ﺑﯾﺋﺔ اﻷﻋﻣﺎل واﻟﺻﻧﺎﻋﺔ اﻟﺗﻧﺎﻓﺳﯾﺔ واﻟدﯾﻧﺎﻣﯾﻛﯾﺔ. وﻛﻣؤﺳﺳﺔ ﺗوﻓر ﺗﻌﻠﯾﻣًﺎ ﻋﺎﻟﯾًﺎ ﻧوﻋﯾًﺎ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻣﻧطﻘﺔ ،ﻓﻘد ﺣﺻﻠت اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﺗرﺧﯾص وﺑارﻣﺟﻬﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻻﻋﺗﻣﺎد ﻣن ﻫﯾﺋﺔ اﻻﻋﺗﻣﺎد اﻷﻛﺎدﯾﻣﻲ ﺑوازرة اﻟﺗﻌﻠﯾم اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻲ واﻟﺑﺣث اﻟﻌﻠﻣﻲ ﻓﻲ دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎارت اﻟﻌرﺑﯾﺔ اﻟﻣﺗﺣدة .ﻛﻣﺎ أن اﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﯾﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺷﺎرﻗﺔ ﻣﻌﺗﻣدة أﯾﺿﺎً ﻓﻲ اﻟوﻻﯾﺎت اﻟﻣﺗﺣدة اﻷﻣﯾرﻛﯾﺔ ﻣن ﻫﯾﺋﺔ اﻟﺗﻌﻠﯾم اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻲ ﻓﻲ ارﺑطﺔ ﻣﯾدل ﺳﺗﯾﺗس ﻟﻠﻛﻠﯾﺎت واﻟﺟﺎﻣﻌﺎت.
