Life in the World’s Largest Prison Camp

In 1864, the Confederates hastily built Camp Lawton to relieve overcrowding in their notorious Andersonville prison. Though the facility was said to be the largest in the world, it had a very short life and was quickly forgotten. Archaeologists are now discovering what took place there. By Mike Toner 24
