NEWSLETTER American Bucking Bull, Inc. July 1, 2011
ABBI Maturities: Win big with any animal American Bucking Bull, Inc. makes a point to constantly develop diverse and comprehensive programs and events in its efforts to benefit the bucking bull industry and it‘s breeders. With that in mind, we are proud to be hosting our new line of bucking bull competitions: Maturities. ABBI introduced Maturities as an avenue to showcase older bulls and generate money from them. It is important to keep in mind that Maturities aren‘t
strictly for older bulls— eligible bulls are any bulls 3 years and older. Also new with Maturities is that competing athletes do not have to be age certified and are not assessed parent penalties. This format drastically increases the pool of eligible animals and turns many previously overlooked animals into potential moneymakers. The first ABBI sanctioned Maturity started with a bang in Decatur, TX at the JW Hart PBR Challenge. Over 40 bulls competed,
with 5 year old Red Hot of D&H Cattle Co. coming out on top. The next Mat u ri t y is scheduled for Saturday night in Weatherford, TX on July 16 th with $4000.00 added.

Winstar World Casino American Heritage Recap This past month marked American Bucking Bull, Inc.‘s fifth year in Ardmore, Oklahoma and we are proud to say that this has been the best year yet! The weekend kicked off with a delicious dinner catered by the local favorite—Two Frogs Grill. Dinner was followed by a silent auction Calcutta for breeders to bid on their bulls and teams. To top it off Moe Bandy was live in concert , keeping ABBI members and special guests rocking throughout the night. With 320 bulls to buck in one weekend, things started early Friday morning. Day 1 of the Futurity brought us the nail biting tie between D&H Cattle/

Reader Poll: Fill in the blank: When a bull runs toward you, _______________________________. “Depends on how fast he's going lol If he's moving in my general direction, I put down my camera back towards the fence. Chances are the bullfighters or pickup men will get him before he gets to me ;-) Now if he's full out running and locked on me, grip the camera for all I'm worth, sprint for the fence, and jump for the top rail LOL -Liz Stabbert
Every now and then we get to thinking about the ‘what ifs’—and while spending time with our bulls definitely isn’t a bad thing, we can’t help but wonder…. So, we asked. Here’s what our facebook & twitter readers had to say when we asked what they do when a bull runs toward them.
“Stop drop and roll!” - Justin Crawford
“Try and live, then laugh like crazy cuz you love what you're doing. -Andrew Villar
“Be sitting in the crowd and not worry about it “ -Tommy Palladeno
“Pray for a miracle. - Michelle Fox
“Smile real purty like and say "Who does he think he's fooling?" Oh yeah, and then probably go to the hospital. LOL” -Frank Fischer
