The 1970s were easily one of the wildest decades in motorcycle history, and the big-bore (and smaller-bore) 2-stroke streetbikes of that era certainly had a lot to do with that. And the baddest 2-stroke street superbike of them all? That’d be Kawasaki’s 1972 Mach IV, or H2, the quickest, fastest and meanest production streetbike of the decade — though the lightweight and race-only H2R was even faster. Suzuki’s do-it-all GT750 LeMans and Yamaha’s legendary RD350 and 400 giant-killers rounded out the decade’s blue-smoke offerings, and we’ve got ’em all in our fabulous March issue, so check it out!
