The American School of Madrid (ASM) is a leading private, not-for-profit school serving students of all nationalities. ASM is committed to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and to developing students who can make a difference globally.

ASM is an IB World School offering the IB Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12. We are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and authorized to grant an American High School Diploma. Additionally, ASM is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

ASM is an early adopter of the Middle States Sustaining Excellence protocol which features action research as a school focusing on innovation and creating students who are innovators. The school has taken a leadership role in zero-energy educational buildings and its OPAL-certified play landscape is a first in Spain.
