youth mentoring; camp activities; camp maintenance Members are assisting with the summer camp which aims to strengthen math and science skills for the campers and allows them the chance to remain active in the afternoon. Assisting as summer camp staff at Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse Members are doing trailwork, assisting with the preservation of historic cabins and other buildings. Assisting with the clean-up and preparation for repair/rebuilding to include: light chain saw work, sorting materials, debris removal, and community education about recycling of building materials Muck and gut homes; remove debris; remove sheetrock and insulation; remediate mold and mildew Trail maintenance and repair, invasive species removal, environmental education, summer youth program supervision and support Clearing empty lots and creating community gardens.
