The following programs and opportunities are all available for AmeriCorps NCCC members upon the completion of their service. AMERICORPS NCCC ALUMNI LEADERSHIP COUNCIL: The AmeriCorps NCCC Alumni Leadership Council (NCCC ALC) will consist of 18 alumni nationwide. Each campus will have 3 council members. the region where they served. For example, if you served in Charleston, SC but currently live in Denver, then the region you will represent will be Southwest. The region breakdown map can be found on our AmeriCorps Alums chapter page here. We have also selected 3 alums that serve in an advisory and support role as Council Chairs. The NCCC ALC works in partnership with the AmeriCorps NCCC Advisory Board, AmeriCorps NCCC, and AmeriCorps Alums. The application deadline is Monday March 24, 2014. Please submit your application via email to ncccalums@gmail.com and title the subject of your email and document, “[region you are applying for] - [your first and last name].” Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity – Greater Des Moines HfH is hiring for a number of AmeriCorps positions including Communications, Partnerships, Construction, and Rock the Block. Conservation Corps – Several people have expressed interest in the Conservation Corps. There are Conservation Corps located across the U.S. – just google the location you’re interested in with Conservation Corps to see if they have a program. A few include the Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa, The California Conservation Corps, The Southwest Conservation Corps, and the Maryland Conservation Corps. The City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) is seeking applications for part-time seasonal Education and Outreach staff. SIT Graduate Institute– The SIT Graduate Institute offers a $5,500 tuition match of the Segal Education Award to enrolled AmeriCorps Alums. During the 2013-2014 academic year, SIT awarded $93,182 in matching funds to AmeriCorps Alums. In addition, they waive the application fee for Alums.
