Each of our candidates – a neighbor of yours in Elmwood Park – has a unique tie to Elmwood Park and brings a fresh perspective and talent to local government. Some can trace their roots in Elmwood Park back four generations; others moved their families here for a better life. With backgrounds in finance, real estate, public safety, marketing, and more, our candidates are diverse and bring unique perspectives and energy to the table. Who are they? Elmwood Park is a wonderful community which is why our candidates and their families have chosen to call it home for generations. But our community also faces a number of challenges: our property taxes have risen every year for two decades, our water bills are skyrocketing, and our tax dollars are not being spent as efficiently as they can be. It is time to put some fresh eyes on the budget, to carefully review spending, and for common sense ways to reduce waste while improving transparency and public safety. We need new and proactive approaches to rodent control, crime, and improving efficiency.
