In February in Alicante city a 5 year old girl died in the San Gabriel area of the town .Now an Alicante judge who has investigated the case has ordered that the mother be sent to trial for long term abuse and murder . The judge ruled that there was no indication of a third party involvement and that the 34 year old was soley responsible .The judge also ordered that the woman be held on remand and that she pay 150,000 euros as a guarantee to cover any possible compensation payments .If she is unable to pay then the court would arrange to seize her assets . In January the mother called 112 emergency services claiming that her daughter had fallen in the bathroom and was unconscious .Paramedics rushed to the scene but were unable to revive her .They called the police because the head injury sustained by the little girl did not correspond to the story given by the mother and she was subsequently arrested .
