The summer of 2014 has been a very busy one for towns and villages along the Costa Blanca .Businesses of all types have thrived as tourists arrived from Britain , France , Germany and many other countries , European and from further afield .The Spanish economic crisis has continued but the tourist industry along the coast has thrived . In Teulada -Moraira the occupancy has been 91% for August .Nearly 3000 people visited Moraira castle .The 91% was 1% down on last year for August but June and July were both up .During these three months there were over 13,000 consultations in the Tourist Information Office . Teulada -Moraira still draws in a lot more British and French but Germans , Scandanavians and Belgians wer up this year . Benissa had equally positive figures with 75% occupancy on rental properties , 67% on rural accommodation and 60% for hotels in the town . This part of the Costa Blanca continues to be a favourite with families and people between the ages of 30 and 50 . Calpe also saw their tourist information offices kept busy with nearly 20,000 seeking help from the various offices in the town during August alone.
