Denia | State of the Art New Ferry Terminal

Page 1

Denia is a port town on the Spanish Costa Blanca and ferries run to Ibiza and Mallorca from the port .Now the former passenger terminal is in the process of being demolished to make way for a new state of the art terminal building . There is absolutely nothing wrong with the building but it stood in the way of the construction of the new one . There is now a bare concrete plot at the bottom of the Marques de Campo and Patricio Fernandez streets and the sea is all that can be seen . It is unlikely that the plans that have been put forward for the area will be started this year .Moorings , an espalanade and shops are planned .The esplanade might be started in September . Plans to construct restaurants where the now demolished terminal is have been rejected by the regional government which makes one wonder why it was demolished . The funding of the demolition has been done by Balearia , saving residents some money .They are also putting a lot of money into the new port development .
