The Spanish central government has decided to turn Spain´s clifftop watch towers into hotels in much the same way as they created the Paradors . The Cabo de San Antonio lighthouse is to be one of them .They want it to become a luxury hotel for tourists .The plans are very much in their infancy and as yet it isn´t known when the first guests might move in . Spain has almost 400 lighthouses and at the moment about 60 are used as family homes . Their maintenance is funded and supervised by central government , the Ministry of Public Works . Now to help them pay their way the government has decided that all of them will be turned into hotels . People staying at this lighthouse in Javea will have stunning views and for the avid wildlife photographer there could be views of whales and other animals plus a very good couple of walks down into the port of Javea .
