A resident of San Juan , near Alicante on the Spanish Costa Blanca cut his head on a bathroom mirror in his home and went to the San Juan hospital for treatment . A triage nurse looked at the wound and diagnosed a non-urgent scratch so he was sent to wait in a waiting room .Three hours later he was still bleeding and so he took himself off to Alicante General hospital . There they were shocked by the deep wound .He was seen to immediatly and left 20 minutes later with 4 stitches in his head . When the San Juan hospital was contacted they confirmed that the cut had been diagnosed as non -urgent and said that they called the patient in 2 hours later but he had left by then .
