Last week the police in a suburb of the capital city of Spain , Madrid , arrested a man believed to be responsible for the abduction and sexual assault of three girls in the Ciudad Lineal district of the city .This information was announced by the Interior Minister . All of the assaults were on girls aged from 5 to 11 and as well he is accused of two other sexual assaults and three attempted assaults .The 43 year old Spaniard was arrested in Santander in north west Spain . People in the area where the assaults took place were beginning to take matters into their own hands and had mistaken an engineer for the suspect , so the arrest did not come soon enough .This engineer had been contracted to instal a closed circuit television system and began to survey a block of flats .Young children were playing outside and they saw him taking pictures and they alerted their families .A group of adults approached the man accusing him of being the wanted man and punched and kicked him .He fled and luckily found refuge in a National Police van . The engineer agreed not to press charges against anyone but the happening attracted large crowds and a big police presence in the area .
