This government sees this privatisation package as a priority and they want to see it completed by 2015 .They say that the privatisation will make it more competitive . There has been , recently , some disagreementbetween the government , social groups and major companies , over the project .They have added all of the additions to stop the project from stalling and falling through .The Alicante-Madrid line has been chosen to start the privatisation off because it is thought to have the highest growth capacity .An Alicante based company Vectalia is in the running to take over from Renfe .They have a lot of experience in urban public transport .The tendering process for the project will start in September and although no firm date has been given for when the take over will happen , it is thought to be during the second quarter of 2015 .The concession will be for 7 years .The trains will be rented from Renfe but will have to provide staff to run them .Once the 7 years is up the contract will once again be put out to tender .
