The court in Sevilla has found a woman guilty of killing her two babies and freezing their bodies .The jury of five men and four women came to the conclusion that the woman had taken the lives of these babies deliberately .The prosecution is asking for a 40 year sentence .This would be for murder with malice aforethought . The report of the forensic experts stated that the victims had breathed once they were born and were later drowned .There was a 99% certainty that they had died a violent death as the result of being submerged in water . The first baby had a dilated stomach and an aqueous content that had been swallowed .Another ” expert ” stated that he was 100% certain that they had not been drowned . The accused woman had stated that the first baby was still born and that she had no recollection at all of the second birth . Prosecutors can be dramatic and this time the woman was called a ” monster ” and someone who was capable of looking her babies in the eye and killing them . The verdict was also based on the testimony of two psychiatrists from the Institute of Legal Medicine in Seville who examined the woman after her arrest in 2012 .According to them they were 100% certain that the woman was in full possession of her mental faculties and that she had deliberately killed her children .
