Sorenson was the sponsor of an Iowa Constitutional Carry bill which I strongly supported and was instrumental in pushing a much weaker NRA-sponsored bill into revisions which eventually made the bill an acceptable, though disappointing vehicle for reforming concealed carry in the state.
Kent Sorenson’s Positive 2A Record Twisted by Anti-Gun Appel
Not only did Sorenson carry a heavy load in that fight, he has been an active sponsor or cosponsor of virtually every pro-rights measure introduced in the Iowa legislature since he was first elected a few years ago. He has not just been a supporter of gun owners, he has been an outspoken advocate on our behalf. That’s why I was thrilled to see him step up to challenge the anti-rights, liberal Democrat, Appel for a seat in the State Senate this year. In the Senate, Sorenson would have even more influence and be a more effective advocate for our cause.
OCT 26, 2010 09:07P.M. Iowa Backlash – Kent Sorenson Positive 2A Record Twisted by Anti-Gun Appel By Jeff Knox.
But Appel’s attacks seem to be taking a toll. She has zeroed in on Sorenson’s opposition to a state ban on firearms possession by persons convicted of any misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. The bill also called for local authorities to immediately confiscate all firearms from anyone who is the subject of a restraining order or order of protection – including women who are routinely placed under such orders as a sort of retaliation when they get restraining orders against estranged husbands or boyfriends. Appel’s brutally tasteless ads are appearing on television and in direct mail and picture battered women with statements that “Kent Sorenson’s positions on guns are so scary, even the NRA has opposed them” and that “Sorenson actually supported letting people with a history of domestic abuse own a gun.”
FirearmsCoalition.org Manassas, VA --(Ammoland.com)- Earlier this year I wrote about and participated in a brouhaha regarding concealed carry in Iowa in which NRA was putting forward a very poor excuse for a carry reform bill and I and others were trying hard to get the bill improved before it ended up doing more damage than good.
Of Course Appel’s ads are suggesting that Sorenson’s position on the domestic violence bill was what was too extreme for NRA. In fact NRA opposed the domestic violence bill and negotiated changes to keep the Iowa bill from doing much more than mirroring federal law. What Appel’s ads are actually alluding to is the rift created when Sorenson pushed forward with his Constitutional Carry bill instead of withdrawing it in favor of the much weaker NRA compromise proposal. In truth, Sorenson’s bill was officially supported by NRA and Sorenson voted for the NRA bill when it cam to a vote. NRA didn’t oppose the Sorenson bill, they just didn’t really work for its passage because they felt that it couldn’t garner the necessary votes and they preferred an incremental approach.
The hero of that fight was a young State Representative named Kent Sorenson who is now being attacked for being too supportive of gun rights by his opponent in a tough State Senate race. Not only is Sorenson being attacked as a pro-rights “extremist” by his opponent, Staci Appel, she is accusing him of defending “wife beaters” because he opposed a state expansion of the notorious Lautenberg domestic violence law. What’s even worse is that Appel was literally moments away from receiving the official NRA endorsement in the race when her first attack ads hit criticizing Sorenson for supporting prorights positions which are also all supported by the NRA.
At this point the race between Sorenson and Appel is statistically a dead heat and that’s not good news for Sorenson or gun owners. If Appel’s Domestic Violence attack strategy proves successful we can expect to see many more of these types of attacks all around the country in future elections. It has the potential to make Republicans run from the gun issue and it will embolden the anti-rights crowd to push even harder – especially on confusing and misleading legislation like the “No Guns for
To their credit, NRA immediately withdrew their endorsement and the association literally had to stop the presses to keep an endorsement of Appel from appearing in the pages of NRA publications.

Wife Beaters” legislation exploited in this case. While this is not a new strategy, if effective against Sorenson, it would represent a ray of hope for a whole lot of politicians hopelessly bobbing about on rough political seas these days. In the wrong hands a little hope can be a very dangerous and destructive thing.

In 2010, 140 volunteer trackers surveyed 78, 200-square-mile survey blocks covering 7,055 miles of snow-covered roads and trails. Volunteers averaged 4.2 surveys per block, and detected more than 363 different wolves.
OCT 26, 2010 08:27P.M. The volunteer carnivore tracking program is critical for us to obtain accurate counts of the state wolf population,” said Adrian Wydeven, DNR mammal ecologist who coordinates the state wolf program. “These surveys will continue to be important for long-term management of wolves and other forest carnivores in Wisconsin.”

Volunteers are helpful in other ways, Wydeven said. Last fall, several volunteers conducted hunter outreach in the field and made contacts with deer hunters across several northern counties. During the spring volunteers helped with wolf trapping, radio collaring, donations of radio collars, and howl surveys as well as staffing educational booths at sport shows and other events.
IllinoisCarry.com Illinois --(Ammoland.com)- Supporters of the Second Amendment battle to defeat the Chicago handgun ban know and revere Mr. Otis McDonald, the lead plaintiff in the landmark case which is bringing about change in gun laws all across the nation.
Volunteers are also strongly encouraged to take a wolf ecology course if they have not done so already, and biologists recommend taking the ecology course before signing up for track training workshops.
What many may not know is that this quiet, unassuming gentleman is a stalwart Democrat who has turned to Bill Brady, the Republican candidate for Illinois governor, in order to preserve and protect what he and the other three plaintiffs in the case fought so hard to win.
Wolf ecology courses will be offered next year on the following dates at the locations listed: • Jan. 22-23, Babcock – Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center, Babcock, $75 (includes 2 meals & dorm lodging). Contact Dick Thiel at Richard.Thiel@wisconsin.gov
When incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn pushed for a ban on all semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and handguns and proudly announced he would ban any concealed carry bill that made it to his desk, Mr. McDonald knew he needed to do something to protect the rights he and the other plaintiffs had fought so hard to regain.

Sen. Bill Brady has long been a friend to Illinois gun owners, speaking often at Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day. When hundreds of women gathered at the Governor’s office to demand their right to protect themselves it was Bill Brady who met with them because Pat Quinn wouldn’t even come to the door. Sen. Brady has said he will not only sign a Right to Carry bill but will work hard to make it happen.

Smith & Wesson SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--(Ammoland.com)- Smith & Wesson Corp., announced that Team Smith & Wesson member Doug Koenig finished the 2010 competitive season on a high note, winning a Gold medal and setting a new world record during the 7th National Rifle Association (NRA) World Action Pistol Championships held in Sydney, Australia.

AMMOLAND.COM SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS Competing in the Open Division, Koenig dominated the field of international competitors by shooting perfect scores and X-Ring hits on three out of the four stages of fire while in route to his new world record score of 1920-188x. Joining Koenig in Australia for this year’s match were Smith & Wesson Champions Jerry Miculek and Julie Golob along with junior shooter Molly Smith.
Doug Koenig Leads Team Smith & Wesson to Gold at 7th NRA World Action Pistol Championships
Utilizing the same courses of fire as the NRA Bianchi Cup, the World Action Pistol Championships consist of four separate matches with fixed times on every string of fire. Over the course of the three-day match, individuals compete in the Practical Event (with shots fired from 10 yards to 50 yards); Barricade Event (shots taken from behind “cover”); Falling Plate Event (banks of six, 8″ falling plates); and the Moving Target Event (shots fired at a moving target exposed for just 6 seconds). Each event is worth 480 points with 48 X’s and the aggregate score of each competitor is used to determine the final standings.

“While the courses of fire are similar to the Bianchi, that’s about where the comparison ends,” said Champion Shooter Doug Koenig. “At least for me, everything is a little more extreme when competing overseas. From the preparation to the travel to the time difference and even when it comes to just communicating with your family, international competitions require shooters to make a lot of adjustments both mentally and physically.” Despite dealing with the rigors of international travel, Koenig has enjoyed continued success at the World Action Pistol Championships, taking home titles in 2008, 2004 and 1999. With wins already secure from this year’s Bianchi Cup, Sportsman’s Team Challenge and Masters International Championship, Koenig entered the event looking to add one more title to what has been an extremely successful 2010 season.

“It’s hard to explain the relationship between a competitor and his or her own firearm, because in each case the circumstances are different,” said Koenig.
AMMOLAND.COM SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS “Over the years, I’ve been able to work directly with the Performance Center at Smith & Wesson and as a result, the 1911DK has all of the features I prefer. Though the gun I compete with in Action Pistol is highly customized for the Open Division, one of my goals from the beginning was to help design a firearm that your everyday shooter could take right out of the box and start competing with. This pistol allows anyone to do just that and of course the confidence I have in my own personal rig is immeasurable.”

While Koenig raced past the competition in pursuit of his Gold medal, Team Smith & Wesson also benefited from appearances by Jerry Miculek, Julie Golob and Molly Smith. Accounting for half of Team USA at the World Action Pistol Championships, Team Captain Julie Golob’s and Doug Koenig’s scores contributed to Team USA winning both the Open and Ladies Team World Titles. Elsewhere, competing in the Metallic Division, renowned shooter Jerry Miculek secured a 2nd place standing competing with his Smith & Wesson Model 627. And last but certainly not least, 13 year-old Molly Smith continued to make her presence known in the shooting world by finishing an impressive 3rd place in the Junior Division shooting her Smith & Wesson Model 627 revolver. Competing in her first international match with shooters up to the age of 21, Molly proved once again that age isn’t everything by adding another trophy to her blossoming list of accomplishments.

“She’s pretty easy to train. For every bit you put into it, she will give you that much back and more,” Steinbach said. “I tell people that training her was as easy as using a claymore mine; just pull a trigger and she’ll do all of the work.” Work was the order of the day for Gallagher at Fort Lee during Best Warrior. Though small in stature, she demonstrated the drive and determination it takes to be a U.S. national rifle champion. “The amount of preparation they put into every lane was amazing,” she said of the experience. “Every event was so professional, above and beyond what I was expecting.” One event Gallagher was expected to ace, of course, was M4 rifle qualification. United States Army Marksmanship Unit
“It was faster-paced, quick, reactive shooting, but all shooting’s the same,” she said, “Keep your sights aligned and you’re good. “I’m always more comfortable with a gun in my hand.”
WASHINGTON, DC --(Ammoland.com)- A Soldier with 21 national rifle shooting records added one more trophy to the case Monday: the U.S. Army’s Soldier of the Year.
Gallagher’s quest began after being named the U.S. Army Accessions Command Soldier of the Year in May at Fort Knox. Ky. In July, she won the Training and Doctrine Command Best Warrior competition at Fort Lee, sending her to the Army event.
Sgt. Sherri Gallagher’s young life has been one of high achievement. Now the 26-year old rifle shooter/instructor for the Army Marksmanship Unit is the first female to win the Army’s Best Warrior competition. “This is such an honor – I don’t think it has sunk in yet,” Gallagher said moments after the announcement here Monday. “Any one of us could have won the competition. I learned so much from everybody out here and loved every minute of this experience.”
In between preparing for numerous boards and Soldier competitions, Gallagher became the first U.S. military shooter since 1987 to win the National High-Power Rifle Championship in August. She was only the second woman ever to win, following in her mother Nancy Tomkins’ footsteps.
Named the winner by Sergeant Major of the Army Kenneth Preston at the Association of the U.S. Army awards luncheon, the three-year veteran bested 11 other Soldiers representing the Army’s major commands during the competition Oct. 18-22 at Fort Lee, Va. “The reason I was successful is the training my sponsor, Sgt. 1st Class David Steinbach, developed for me,” said Gallagher, a native of Prescott, Ariz. “He pushed me so hard that I was ready for everything during the competition. Nothing came as a shock and my confidence was really high. I wish that I could share this with him because it truly was a team effort.” Her preparation was tested at every level during the week at Fort Lee. Following a board led by SMA Preston Oct. 18, competitors were tested on their knowledge in a written exam and essay. Three days of field exercises Oct. 20-22 was next. The candidates conducted urban orienteering Wednesday and each led a squad through simulated battle operations that included engaging insurgents, tending wounded Soldiers on the battlefield, and a stress shoot while moving under enemy fire Thursday and Friday.

Gallagher’s family is legendary in U.S. shooting competition. “My family is always there for me – we are really close,” Gallagher said. “Being named Best Warrior was that much more special since my mom was there sitting next to me today. I am who I am today because of my family. We have so much fun and live life that way.” Being assigned to the AMU was another benefit to her path to Army Soldier of the Year, she said. With a little more than 100 Soldiers assigned to it, it represents teamwork and success. This year alone the unit has produced multiple national and world champions who are also U.S. Olympians. Army Soldier of the Year becomes a unique accomplishment in a unit known for high achievement. “My Army family is awesome,” Gallagher said. FORT LEE, Va. - Sgt. “My teammates on the service rifle team have always had my back. The entire unit went out of its way to support me in any way they could. Even the leadership at Accessions Support Brigade and Accessions Command would call me and offer help. The whole experience was just fantastic.” As a unit that falls under USAAC, Gallagher is used to representing the Army all over the nation. One of the marksmanship units’ main missions is promoting Army service and connecting America’s Army to the American public. “She connects with people in a way that’s immediate,” said Lt. Col. Daniel Hodne, AMU commander. “Sgt. Gallagher possesses a unique combination of skill sets and character traits. She easily stands out because she is truly ‘one of a kind’ and we simply knew that she had the potential to earn the prestigious title of Army Soldier of the Year.” This week begins a year of Gallagher representing the Army as its best enlisted Soldier. Next week, however, it’s back to training: Airborne School at Fort Benning, Ga., before attending Warrior Leaders Course soon after that.

“How great is the Army?” she asked. “I just got to spend a week with some of the most talented people this Army has to offer, and in a few weeks I get to jump out of an airplane. Nothing is better than being a Soldier.”
(Forest Berkshire contributed to this story) About USAMU: The USAMU’s mission is to raise the standard of marksmanship proficiency and combat readiness throughout the Army by sharing knowledge gained from competing and winning in national/ international competitions, research and development and advanced training programs while enhancing the Army’s recruiting effort through an active public information and public relations program. Let me explain this threat. AMMOLAND.COM SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS
To the best of my information, there are only two plants in the United States that manufacture smokeless propellant to load ammunition for our firearms. All else is imported, from Canada, Scandinavia, Europe, Israel, and Australia primarily.
Loss of Smokeless Powder The Greatest Threat to Keep & Bear Arms OCT 26, 2010 04:42P.M.
These two plants are both owned by giant defense and government contractors for whom sales of powder for civilian ammunition consumption is but a tiny fraction of their business.
Loss of Smokeless Powder The Greatest Threat to the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in the United States Today by Gary Marbut, president Montana Shooting Sports Association
One is the General Dynamics plant in St. Marks, Florida, which produces for Hodgden, Winchester and others, and the Alliant plant in Connecticut which produces for the Alliant family of companies and for the Lake City Arsenal (currently under Alliant management). If Obama were to instruct his appointed Secretary of Defense to quietly lean on these defense contractors to quit selling smokeless powder for civilian consumption or put their next contract for an aircraft carrier at risk, I believe they’d bail on civilian powder sales in a heartbeat. And, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could end smokeless powder imports tomorrow with a stroke of her pen. Sure, some people in the U.S. have a fair amount of ammunition and reloading components squirreled away, but those supplies won’t last forever. Actually, at the current rate of consumption, ammunition in supply chain and in individual possession would last between one and two years, although many lightly-inventoried people would run out in days or weeks, not months or years. That’s why the Montana Shooting Sports Association has crafted a bill for the 2011 Montana legislative session to encourage the production of smokeless powder, primers and brass on a small scale, a scale that should be reproduced on a state-by-state basis.
Loss of Smokeless Powder The Greatest Threat to Keep & Bear Arms
Many of the small countries of central and eastern Europe have their own in-country powder production. However, because of scale issues in manufacturing, these small-scale plants can only survive with significant state subsidy. In the U.S., the incentive and legal infrastructure are a bit different. According to our novel U.S. system of political thought, the primary purpose (maybe only valid purpose) of government is to protect the liberties of the people. One essential and well-recognized liberty is the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Since the RKBA is worthless without ammunition, it may be validly argued that supporting supplies of ammunition components is a legitimate government function. Thus, state subsidy of ammunition component manufacture is worthy of consideration, even by minimalist libertarians. Montana Shooting Sports Association The bill MSSA will have before the 2011 Montana Legislature offers four incentives:
Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- Without ammunition, our firearms are just awkward clubs, and our cherished right to Keep and Bear Arms is worthless – literally worth nothing.
1. Provides a general, 20-year tax amnesty for any new business

established in Montana to manufacture smokeless powder, primers or brass. This gives up no current state revenue because no such manufacturers exist in Montana now. And, it may stimulate new jobs in Montana. Terms for qualification and manufacturing are defined in the bill;

3. Makes any such manufacturers eligible for any existing economic development programs in the state; and 4. Asserts Tenth Amendment prerogative to regulate exclusively with state regulation any chemicals used in the manufacturing process (many of the best powders are made overseas and are good because they are made using chemicals banned by the federal EPA). The MSSA draft bill for this effort is located at: www.progunleaders.org/lcq2010/powder.html As Montana has been the source of other trail-breaking initiatives (e.g., the Montana Firearms Freedom Act), this idea is available for implementation in other states. MSSA believes it would be healthy if every state had in-state production of ammunition components sufficient to meet the needs of the state’s consumers. Keep reading below for the first round of candidates we are highlighting. In this update we will focus on the NW to North Central portion of the state – specifically on contested races. The 2010 Gun Rights Candidate Survey consists of 8 simple questions that poll candidates on REAL Right-to-Carry, the repeal of Iowa’s permit-to-purchase, a true Stand-your-Ground bill, opposition to banning semi-auto weapons, support of the Firearms Freedom Act, and more.

If a candidate won’t put their beliefs on paper then you and I have every reason to expect an aggressive anti-gun vote to be cast by that candidate if elected.
In House District 8 (areas around Algona, Humboldt, and Pocohontas) This race has been especially fun for Iowa Gun Owners. Tom Shaw sought out IGO last session when he heard about our ongoing fight at the Capitol to reform Iowa’s gun laws. Tom’s support of the 2nd Amendment is deep and strong. As a small town Police Chief, Tom knows that criminals will always find weapons and that citizens need to have the means of self-defense in case they are attacked. IGO was active in the Primary campaign that Tom ran against an anti-gun opponent. In fact, the Iowa Gun Owners PAC was so impressed with Tom that they endorsed Tom and gave him a substantial campaign contribution.
PRO GUN RIGHTS DANGER TO GUN RIGHTS In House District 1 (Sioux City area) Jeremy Taylor is a candidate that has answered our Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100%. This means that he supports REAL Right-toCarry and the other bills mentioned above. He has publicly pledged to be a supporter of the 2nd Amendment.
Susan Bangert is running against Tom, and despite multiple contacts from the members of IGO she refuses to complete our survey. Not only that, Susan refers to Shaw’s views on the 2nd Amendment as “extremist.” Clearly she would be a very anti-gun vote if elected. Susan can be contacted at (515) 295-9505.
His opposition, David Dawson, has not completed the survey. More than that, Dawson refused to even accept the survey from the Post Office! Clearly he would be an aggressive anti-gun vote based on this action. Feel free to call Dawson at (712) 898-5804 and let him know what you think of his refusal to complete the survey.
In Senate District 25 (the larger Fort Dodge area) Chris McGonegle met with Iowa Gun Owners and was happy to complete the survey. We are pleased with his replies and trust that he’ll be a strong pro-gun vote if elected.
In House District 2 (Sioux City area) Cate Bryan was quick to complete the Gun Rights Candidate Survey way back in May when she was engaged in a three-way primary. Bryan has promised to co-sponsor all IGO legislation if elected and was very willing to discuss the issue with representatives of Iowa Gun Owners.
Daryl Beall, on the other hand, refuses to answer the survey. Beall really wants to be considered pro-gun. He’s tried to talk pro-gun and act progun….but he won’t complete the survey and he voted against REAL Right-to-Carry on the Senate floor last session. You can contact Beall at (515)573-7889.
Her opposition, Chris Hall, would not complete the survey. Even after IGO members in the district contacted him seeking his views on the 2nd Amendment, we’ve yet to receive any answer from Hall. This should tell you all you need to know about the way Hall will vote regarding gun rights if elected. Let him know your thoughts on this by calling him at (712) 490-2088.
In House District 49 (Fort Dodge) Matt Alcazar has been a friend to IGO for some time now. After initially running as an Independent, Alcazar is now the GOP candidate in this district. Matt quickly completed the Gun Rights Candidate Survey. IGO members who came to the June ‘Freedom Rally’ had a chance to speak with Matt who was in attendance – and if you were lucky, you got a chance to shoot his new rifle!
In Senate District 1 (Sioux City area) Rick Bertrand met with representatives of IGO months ago to pledge his strong support for the gun rights of law abiding Iowans. He has pledged to sponsor IGO legislation and we applaud him for this position.
Helen Miller, unfortunately, will not complete the survey. She, too, has had IGO members calling her to do the survey, but as of yet, refuses to tell the voters in HD49 where she stands. Call Miller at (515) 570-3535 and expresses your frustration if you wish.
Rick Bertrand is being opposed by Rick Mullin. Mullin, who has refused to complete the Gun Rights Candidate Survey, is a danger to gun rights and can be contacted by emailing rick@mullinforiowa.com. In House District 7 (areas around West Bend, Emmetsburg, and Estherville) Iowa Gun Owners was pleased to meet with Lannie Miller in his home in West Bend. Lannie grew up around weapons and has a high regard for the 2nd Amendment. He too has pledged his 100% support by completing the survey with all pro-gun answers.
That’s all for today’s update. Tomorrow we will focus on some races in the NE part of the State. Please feel free to forward these around. If you want to help Iowa Gun Owners spread the word to 1000′s of gun rights activists in the State, and to help us ensure a pro-gun majority in the House next legislative session, please go to our website located at www.IowaGunOwners.org
Unfortunately, his opponent, John Wittneben, refuses to answer the Iowa Gun Owners survey. Members in this district have tried to contact him about his refusal, but as of yet, no survey has been completed by Wittneben. In a rural, pro-gun area like this, this refusal is especially disappointing. Wittneben can be contacted at (712) 362-4797.

I spoke to Carl Chapman from the Marin County District Attorney’s Office, who is in charge of managing this case. The Gpal case is an open investigation, not a case that has been labeled criminal at this time. There are several agencies involved and as far as I can tell, nobody should assume right now that Gpal did anything illegal. Everyone who made and accepted payments with them trusted them to be a successful enterprise. This could just be a speed bump from which they have yet to recover.
GunsAmerica USA - -(Ammoland.com)- This message is about the 3rd party payment service for guns known as Gpal, or GunPal before that.
Even PayPal had speed bumps, and they too were accused of fraudulent activity at the time.
Down this message a bit you will see a link to file a complaint if you feel you have been wronged. The image on the right below is the form. If you have not been involved with making or taking payments through Gpal this message does not affect you.
We are sending this email to let you know how to file a complaint. We have nothing to do with Gpal and have no knowledge of their relationships with other online gun buying and selling sites and/or internet discussion forums. We elected to not do business with Gpal from the start because of exactly these concerns.
This is solely a public service announcement. Gpal/GunPal has never been an authorized payment system on GunsAmerica.
Mr. Chapman has asked that all complaints go through The Internet Crime Complaint Center. The URL for the form is at http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/.
There is some confusion about this because some of the other sites where you can buy and sell guns did endorse and even integrate Gpal/GunPal into their websites. We did not, even though we were offered a “deal” out of the profits like everyone else, and it was for a reason that we didn’t. A Paypal-like system for guns with similar fees in the 3% range is impossible for the gun industry. Several years ago GunsAmerica tried to create our own third party payment system for guns. We even own the domain guncash.com. Unfortunately we discovered quickly that, when it came to “underwriting” such a system, our industry is too small. There is not enough money in it to risk the tens of millions of dollars to underwrite and FDIC insure all of the money coming and going. It took us years to even find a Merchant Services company (merchant credit card accounts for gun dealers) that would deal with guns being sold online. To our knowledge, our Live Payments system through Electronic Transfer Inc. is the only merchant account approved specifically for guns online (FFL dealers only) through a secure internet gateway that is also approved for guns online (authorize.net is not). If a sales rep or anyone else tells you different, or if you are offered another 3rd party payment system for guns, question it. It is not necessarily that the banks are anti-gun. They are anti-risk, and we know what it is like to make your way up the banking chain explaining the very small risks involving guns and credit, even online. The chargeback rate for guns is far below the national average for other products.
This is the last screen on the complaint form at IC3. Keep clicking through up to ten screens of simple questions. They all lead to this form. Don’t worry, this is not a black hole of government inaction. All the complaints for this case go right to Mr. Chapman in spreadsheet form that is easier for him to deal with than individual complaints on the telephone. There are SEVEN TO TEN SCREENS to click through of questions to get to the final form (which you see hanging on the right here). Hang in there! The questions don’t really fit this case, but answer them as close to what makes sense. I clicked through a few times with different answers and it didn’t seem to matter how you answered them. They all lead to the final form.
Now, back to Gpal. Because even though we never endorsed Gpal or integrated it into GunsAmerica, a number of our sellers did take payments through them. Many have emailed us that they are unable to withdraw their funds now and have asked for help.
Hopefully the situation with Gpal will resolve itself and everyone will get their money back. Many small gun dealers, accepting the endorsements of trusted entities (GunsAmerica not being one of them), trusted Gpal and took payments through them. They need those funds!
We also have a lot of buyers who buy guns on all the online sites who are caught in the middle and have emailed us to see if we know anything.

We pray that Gpal does make it through and that no fraudulent activity is found so that everyone gets their money. The gun industry is a very small place and we are attacked from the outside by people and organizations every day. It is better for all of us to assume the best in each other, not the worst, and let the problems work themselves out if at all possible. Whether you choose to use Gpal now or in the future is up to you. We do not authorize any third party payment system. It is still a free country to some extent. And we most likely will not be updating our information about Gpal in the future as we have nothing to do with them. The only public support forum we know of was recently closed by those hosting them. Regular customer support at Gpal is support@gpal.net and the customer support phone number is 1-800-813-4725. Thanks as always for your interest in firearms being a part of GunsAmerica. -ph@ga

I gave up just one penalty in the match.” To win the title Jones had to fend off one of the strongest contingents of women shooters including the defending champion Megan Francisco of Gainesville, Va., Jessie Abbate of McDonough, Ga. who is considered by many to be one of the strongest female shooters, Lisa Munson of Marysville, Wash. who has won several USPSA national titles and Athena Lee of Katy, Texas, the 2007 Open division champion. Going into the final day of competition Jones did not know where she stood against her competition. Squadded with Francisco, she was only aware of how she stood against the 2009 champ. “I knew I was doing well and that I had to finish strong,” said Jones. “I typically do well when there’s a lot of accuracy involved and this match obviously had that. In the end I felt pretty strong and win or lose when I finished up I knew I’d shot the best I could.”
