Arusha/Tarangire National Park, Tanzania Arusha/Tarangire National Park is the 6th largest national park and is situated in the Manyara. Arusha/Tarangire National Park’s name is founded from Tarangire River which literally crosses the park coincidently. The river is the only primitive source of water for the wildlife animals and other ecosystem animals. Arusha/Tarangire National Park includes an area of approximately 2850 square KM. The park is especially special about the granitic ridges, seasonally flooded grassland, Baobab trees, swamps, and river valley. The Serengeti National Park, Tanzania The Serengeti National Park is located in the regions of Mara and Simiyu. The national park was established in 1951. The Serengeti National Park is world famous for large mammals, Predators, hyenae, such as lion, leopard, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and cheetah. The park has one million wildebeest. when you are traveling from Arusha to Serengeti by road, it will take you six hours, whereas flight will take you to reach within 1 hour. Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania Selous Game Reserve is the largest faunal/secured area in eastern Africa. It covers the area of approximately 50 thousand square KM. Selous Game Reserve is famous for the sable antelopes, woodlands, blue monkeys, Elephants, buffalo wander, and palm-studded grasslands along with Rufiji River. Most of the visitors arrive by small aircraft from Dar es Salaam because of the complex road access. Although, visitors also travel by train.
