Serving Washington Township residents... Washington Township government is responsible for the Washington Township Avon Fire Department, the Washington Township Park system, hardship relief, and various tasks that maintain public safety and improve the quality of life for residents. Don Hodson, Republican for Washington Township Trustee; Suzanne Conger, Doug Elmore, and Michael Lynch, Republican candidates for the Washington Township Board, seek to serve township residents and protect their interests. Public Safety The Washington Township Avon Fire Department will be the No. 1 priority because you cannot put a price on saving lives.
Fiscal Responsibility As in the May primary, Don Hodson will continue his campaign promise to drop the Washington Township Trustee salary to $25,000 from the current $67,500. If elected, Suzanne Conger, Doug Elmore, and Michael Lynch will cut the board salaries from $6,300 to $2,500 annually. In addition, the Republican Team will appoint a Blue Ribbon Task Force of community leaders and professionals to review the township finances and maximize resources that will enable the Township to save money.
Collaborate with local entities Communicating needs, exploring cost savings, and coordinating plans will enhance the residents’ quality of life.
