Hello Welcome to our 2020 catalogue. We have changed the format slightly this year so that all non wired soft cup are this side, and if you turn the catalogue around you will find wired. Everything else you will find in the middle. When I sat at the kitchen table in the farmhouse all those years ago I did not know where this journey would take me. The idea was to make stylish and comfortable bras up to an N cup, easily available to all sizes and with a friendly service. A lot of things have changed but the desire to help you look and feel good will never change. We celebrated 20 years of AmpleBosom at the end of 2019. I can proudly say we won Specialist E-Tailer 2019 at the Stars Underlines Best Shop Awards at Café de Paris in London. This star studded event is known as the Oscars of the Lingerie world and we were all thrilled to win especially as we were celebrating 20 years in the industry. Follow this easy two-step process to find your perfect fit. Always wear a bra when measuring yourself. 1. Measure your back size(underbust) Measure (in inches) directly under your bust keeping the tape tight and level around your body. If your measurement is an even number add 4. If your measurement is an odd number add 5. Now you have your back size.
An example: • Back size measurement is 32 inches plus 4 = 36 • Cup size measurement is 38 inches (6 inches more) = F • You are a size 36F What should a correctly fitted bra look like? CUPS - Breasts should be comfortably encased in the cups with no bulging or gaping at the top or the sides. WIRES - Should lie flush against the rib cage and not dig in. BAND - This should be level all the way round, not riding up at the back. STRAPS - These should run parallel at the back and not dig in to the shoulders.
This measuring guide is exactly that, a guide. We always advise you to use your own experience as well. You know what you’ve worn before so think about bras, brands and styles you’ve liked in the past. Bra size will be affected by your body shape, breast shape, age and bra style. Bra sizes will also vary between brands due to sizing differences e.g EU, US. Don’t worry about all that though, that’s why we’re the experts. 2. Measure your cup size (overbust) Measure (in inches) around the fullest part of your bust keeping the tape level all the way round your back. The difference between this and your back size measurement will give you your cup size.
What’s the best way to try a bra on? Put the bra on the loosest hook to start with so that it can be tightened as the bra starts to give after being worn a few times. Adjust the shoulder straps to ensure they are neither too loose nor too tight. If the band feels too tight then try going up a bra size (38 to 40). If the cups feel too small then try a larger cup size (E to F). When trying on a new bra always wriggle the shoulders to ensure the straps do not slip.
