My name is Shirley A Thompson and I am the owner of Rudy’s Mini Mart, LTD and Sunoco gas station.

When was the last time you stopped to get gasoline and snacks in a family oriented environment? Where there are never-ending conversations of family, local happenings, customers asking for directions to Cleveland Clinic, Shaker Square or the quickest way to Downtown Cleveland. Upon walking into the convenience store you are immediately embraced with a friendly smile and a “good morning” or “good afternoon” by the time you pay for your items you know Shirley and Rudy as if they were a part of your family. Then, you are sent on your way with a “have a wonderful day”.

Well this kind of family friendly service is right here in Cleveland.

We are located on the corners of East 89th and Buckeye Roads. Rudy’s Mini Mart is surrounded by historic landmarks such as St. Elizabeth Hungarian Catholic Church, Miceli’s Dairy Company, and Orlando Bakery.

We are a minority-family-owned and operated business of 49 years. I have been married to my husband, Rudolph Thompson, Sr. for 50 years! We have raised four children, who have always been involved with the growth and development of the business. I have always taught my children the values of family, hard work, entrepreneurship and team work.

Our first service station was established in 1972 on Miles Road. We were the first owners in conjunction with Arco as a supplier to franchise several convenient mini markets in Cleveland. In 1982, we joined Union 76 gas supplier as a Full and Self Service gas station with a convenient mini market.

Today, Rudy’s Mini Mart and Sunoco gas station provide the following services to the Buckeye-Woodland commuters and neighbors: fuel, diesel, groceries, and many other automotive needs. We also provide the following services to our community: Ohio Lottery, Western Union, Money Order and Bill Pay, Beer & Wine, Soft –Serve Ice Cream (during the summer), Beauty and Personal/Health care products, Faxing and Notary Public on site.

In the midst of this COVID epidemic, I am grateful to be open to serve the many essential workers 6 days a week travelling to and from the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Miceli’s Cheese company, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Center, and 4th District Police station to name a few. Most of all I enjoy calling my customers Family as if they were my own.

Hello my name is Shawnnell Thomas I am the owner of Polish Me Pretty 2550 Noble Rd. and Polish Me pretty 2.0 at 3964 Mayfield Rd. both salons are full-service. We offer a wide range of services in the beauty industry from hair, nails, make up and eyelash services etc. We pride ourselves on professional quality service. At PMP our model is “ You look good you feel good” we’re always seeking new talent to join our team. I would like to thank Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs for always supporting us. 2021 is our 10th year in business, to God be the glory.
