“Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love” -Nate Berkvs-
RK Villa North Coast, 2017 • Role: Technical lead / Design • Consultant: TDF architects
Concept: Creating the illusion of life in midair, like we’re stuck in the line between floating and flying. The Eclectic look will come from the diversity in shapes and patterns. The unreal line that we’re stuck in is a horizontal line. Horizontal lines represent stability, while vertical lines create depth, and diagonal lines create interest. The prime location and the epic view of the house is what inspired the concept. Walking the line between floating over the Mediterranean and flying up in the clear blue skies, is exactly how you feel as soon as you walk into the space. A floating concept is applied to the layout and the mix of styles, forms, shapes and colors will elevate your spirit into the air! There will be the use of horizontal lines to create the steadiness, vertical lines to break the steadiness, and diagonal lines to create interest.

“ Buy art that speaks to you. Don’t stress about where you’ll put it, buy what you love and rearrange your walls later.” - Charlotte Lucas -

Concept:
The Nile river characterized the most important element in Ancient Egypt. It provided them with the most significant gift in a desert land – Fertility. It also gave them other important factors such as: • Building materials • Clothing materials • Means of transportation
But most importantly, the Nile river provided rich black soil, which is known as “The gift of the Nile”. They called the Nile “AUR” which means “black” resembling the fertile soil. This was the starting point of agriculture, and thus, life itself in Ancient Egypt. In fact, it held such great significance that the seasonal calendar was built around the Nile River. There were mainly THREE seasons: 1. The Flooding Season (Akhit) 2. The Growing Season (Peret) 3. The Harvest Season (Shemu)

Inspired by the beauty of the hexagonal wax cells built by honey bees , Hexagon was the main unit of the design due to its unique features, from the fact of being the most space saving geometrical shape to it’s pleasant form. I was inspired to design this collection.
