Message from the Founder: Hello world! At the onset, I on behalf of Amrapali (Society for ARTS) wishes you all a prosperous Durga Puja and a very happy and safe Dipawali. All this long when you all didn’t hear about us or our activities, we were actually building and establishing some robust foundations to let our dreams stand strong. The beginning of this year had whole lots of plans for us to invest, design and curate our artistic vision. In some ways, 2016 has been opulent for us and at a stretch and within a petite time frame, Amrapali began many initiatives.

We urged for a professional institute solely dedicated to the study of performing and visual arts as well as humanities, wherein learners of different age groups may learn and preach their interested art form and can also console their artistic passion and pursuit. With this vision, we established the AMRAPALI INSTITUTE OF ARTS – AIA at Zoo Tiniali, Guwahati (Assam) and this misty dream, stood clear with support and mentoring of some well-known professionals from across the globe. We’re blessed to have musical stalwarts like Padmashree Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, renowned Kathak dance exponent Dr. Purnima Pande and others as Advisors in the AIA Committee.
We started an initiative named the AMRAPALI CLICKS, a conceptual photography for performing artistes, living traditions and traditional art forms. This concept would host creative thought processes in popularizing art gestures and artistes’ portfolio. Further, generating possibilities and in regard to add dimensions for artistic network and collaborations, we launched an online directory named ARTONLINE DIRECTORY, solely dedicated to artistes, creative professionals, creative industry and facilitators. Amrapali (Society for ARTS) further commemorated the 2ND CULTURE COLLOQUIUM – AUTUMN 2016 and is into planning of many forthcoming events and ingenuities. We are delighted to have with us like minded people who equally strives hard for preaching of arts and artistic sustainability. I invite many more to join us in our mission of celebrating arts, culture and heritage. Adieu!!
