The Effect of AMSA’s Phylosophy toward Attitude and Knowledge of Medical Students’ in Makassar about HIV/AIDS Binda Fitriana Tuasikal, Febrianty Elisabeth P., Marini Hasanuddin University Abstract HIV and AIDS is a matter of concern because the number of cases has increased over years. As medical student, we assume students tend to have knowledge about HIV/AIDS. There are some different attitude towards HIV and people living with HIV. Positive attitudes are far more common among respondents with good knowledge, while poor knowledge is to a greater extent associated with negative attitudes. The objective of this study was to asses medical student's knowledge about HIV and their attitude to people with HIV. We want to see how AMSA can affect the attitude of the students in medical faculty and their knowledge comparing with non-members. Through random sampling, students from 3 medical faculty in Makassar were assessed by questionnaires. Respondents were asked about their knowledge and attitude about HIV/AIDS. Then the data was analyzed and converted to a chart using SPSS 16.0. The analysis indicated that AMSA members have high quality of knowledge about sexually transmitted infection or especially HIV/AIDS comparing with non-AMSA members who become respondents that some of them (5%) still have low quality of knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The study revealed that most of AMSA member knows the cause, system that affected, onset, symptoms, transmission, complication, risk factor and prevention of HIV. We can also know that knowledge affect student's attitude towards people with HIV and AIDS. Via its events, AMSA providing better acknowledgement about sexually transmitted infection to its members, that affects AMSA members' attitude to people live with HIV/AIDS. From the study we can know that AMSA members have better knowledge about HIV/AIDS compared to non – member. AMSA members also tend to be more tolerant and have positive attitudes towards people live with HIV/AIDS.
Introduction
The Asian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) is a peak representative organisation for medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Based on the first point of the AMSA's vision : knowledge, we want to proof that by joining AMSA, the member can increase their knowledge. One of the knowledge is about sexually transmitted infection, especially HIV/AIDS that is pandemic disease in the world. Beside that, we also want to proof that AMSA can increase the humanity feelings of AMSA members under the vision of action. We want to proof that AMSA members are less discriminate toward people with HIV/AIDS.
Result
From chart 1, we can directly know that all AMSA members have high quality of knowledge about sexually transmitted infection or especially HIV/AIDS comparing with non-AMSA members who become respondents that some of them (5%) still have low quality of knowledge about HIV/AIDS. From chart 3.13 above, it is clearly show us that non-AMSA respondents tend to be more discriminative to HIV/AIDS patients comparing to the AMSA members.
Material and Method
In this study, we use survey method. After doing the introduction which includes background and several theories regarding HIV/AIDS and AMSA as the medical students' organization, then we do random sampling survey to 100 medical students directly on three universities in Makassar, South Celebes, Indonesia to get some data to support this study. The participants of this study consist 50 AMSA members from Universitas Hasanuddin, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, and 50 non-AMSA members from those three universities. After we collect the data or answers from the questioners, then we analyze the data and convert it to a chart using SPSS 16.0 and accompanied by several explanations.
Discussion
In this study, we have two variables to analyze, those are knowledge and attitude. we ask eleven basic questions that will make us know the knowledge that medical students have about HIV/AIDS. That eleven questions based on a topic to each question. The topic we ask in the questioner are : (1) HIV/AIDS as sexually transmitted infection, (2) the cause of HIV/AIDS, (3) system in human body that attacked by HIV, (4) onset time of HIV/AIDS disease until the symptoms appear, (5) symptom of HIV/AIDS patients, (6) transmission of HIV/AIDS, (7) complication of HIV/AIDS, (8) risk factor of HIV/AIDS, (9) prevention of HIV/AIDS, (10) high risk community of HIV/AIDS, and (11) treatment of HIV/AIDS. The second variable is attitude. We made six question using scale one until five that represents their agreement to the sentence.

The Indonesian government is committed achieving universal health coverage (UHC) by 2019 to cover a projected population of 257.5 million. Challenges to UHC in Indonesia include a fragmented health financing system, decentralization, demographic transition, high out-of-pocket spending and low levels of government spending on health. Despite these challenges, Indonesia has made substantial progress on UHC through the establishment of a clear policy framework. The purpose of this study is to assess and analyze the progress of the newly established Indonesia Medicare under BPJS using a comprehensive approach. BPJS is a public agency established to implement the social security program. The health insurance prepared through BPJS is in the form health protection for participants. The rate of health insurance tuition that must be paid regularly by participants, employers, and/or the government are vary. The study is a literature review of various journals retrieved from Google Scholar with keywords of “BPJS”, “UHC”, “SJSN” and “Indonesia Medicare System”. This study recognize the barriers and opportunities of BPJS progress. Total expenditure on health in Indonesia has already grown significantly, To keep it balance, BPJS Health will need to ensure its financial sustainability. In addition another issue is the long time undersupply of healthcare service. Nonetheless, there are also several opportunities. The existence of growing middle class population who tend to choose better healthcare could lowering government expenditure. Also another potential coming from Pharmaceutical and Med-tech to fulfill the demand that fit the demand of BPJS. In summary, we found that there are several obstacles and also potentials that may affect healthcare policy. However, it can be negotiated and integrated in implementing BPJS in Indonesia in order to achieve the Universal Health Coverage by 2019. Background: Stroke is the 1 leading cause of death in Indonesia (15,4%). Advances have st
occurred in the prevention and treatment of stroke during the past decade. One of the current methods to treat post stroke disability is TMS. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive method by which weak electrical currents are induced in the brain by a rapidly changing magnetic field. The magnetic field passes through the skull, inducing mild electric currents in the brain, which excite and depolarize neurons in the brain Aims and objective: This study is a cohort observational study to assess the efficacy of TMS intervention on improving motoric function of post-stroke patients. In particular, we measured the patients’ motoric impairment using the European Stroke Scale and compare the result before and after receiving TMS intervention. Key Findings: There was an average elevation of 15,48 from pre to post ESS score. (CI=95%)(p<0,05). The mean of pre- score was 70,19 and the mean of post-score was 85,68 with respectively standard deviation of 18,264 and 13,372 Methodology used: The study population consisted 124 post-ischemic stroke patients, who were undergoing TMS intervention in a clinic in Indonesia and followed up during January 2015 to September 2015. Inclusion criteria for this study are patients with post non-hemorrhagic stroke that has motoric functional impairment.
The primary outcome
measures the therapeutic efficacy of TMS intervention, using the European Stroke Scale (ESS). Paired T-test was used to assess the statistical significance of the sample. Scope of research and areas for future research: we can conclude that TMS is a technology that can be used to treat patients with post-ischaemic stroke motoric impairment and prevent further disability in the future. TMS intervention has been proven to be effective to improve patients’ clinical condition. We also see that there is a possibility of TMS to be used as solution for other motoric related disorder.

The Implementation of Sugar Tax on Sugary Drinks to Prevent Diabetes Mellitus type 2 in the Era of BPJS Khumaira* and Reisky Nugraha * *Hasanuddin University ABSTRACT In 2007, Diabetes Mellitus accounted for 14,7% age-gender-standardized death rate in urban area and 5,8% age-gender-standardized death rate in rural area (Indonesia Basic Health Research, 2007). BPJS Kesehatan is a social security institution which provide health insurance to ensure all layers of society are able to get access to proper healthcare. In the end of 2014, BPJS undergone financial deficit, where the total amount of premium is IRD 41.06 trillion whereas the total amount of benefit claim is IRD 42,6 trillion (BPJS Kesehatan,2015).This study aims to assess the feasibility of the implementation of sugar tax in Indonesia as prevention attempt of Diabetes Mellitus type 2 as well as a solution for BPJS financial deficit. This study is a literature review of various journals retrieved from Google Scholar with keywords of “sugar tax”,”diabetes mellitus”,”BPJS”.Sugar tax implementation is a tax mechanism on drinks which contain sugar or sweetener.A review conducted by Yale University’s Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity suggested that for every 10% increase in price, consumption decreases by 7.8%. An industry trade publication reported even larger reductions: as prices of carbonated soft drinks increased by 6.8%, sales dropped by 7.8%, and as Coca-Cola prices increased by 12%, sales dropped by 14.6%.5 (Beverage Digest,2008).In general, four types of pricing policies have been identified to reduce consumption of sugary drinks : 1) Regulatory fees, 2) Sales taxes,3) Excise taxes,4) Proportional pricing iniatives. In summary, Sugar tax implementation in the form of excise tax is a proper solution to solve both health and economic issue in Indonesia. Its implementation on sugary drinks is expected to lowering consumption therefore could prevent diabetes mellitus type 2 and its complication. On the other hand, the revenue coming from the tax could be allocated to BPJS health program.

Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University (AMSA-Unhas)
Background: The mortality and morbidity rate of mothers and infants in Indonesia is still high. Caesarean section is done as a secondary indication for some complicated cases. Only 25% of all hospital delivers in Indonesia undergoing this surgical intervention. Aim: The aim of the study was to find the correlation of caesarian section indications and conditions of maternal and the newborn. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among all mothers and newborn at one of the main referred delivers hospital (Fatimah maternity hospital) in Makassar as one capital city in Indonesia from January 1st to June 30th 2016. Samples were collected and analyzed using SPSS. Result: In this study, 119 babies were evaluated from mothers who underwent caesarian section. Indications of section caesarian were mostly due to CS history 30 (25,4%). Patients were referred from GP 1 (0.8%), Puskesmas 81 (68.1%), Clinic 15 (12.6%), Puskesmas Pembantu 2 (1.7%), Maternity hospital 7 (5.9%) and General hospital 13 (10.9%). There were a significant difference between newborn condition and patients refer (p<0.05). The level of mother’s education were varied from SD (elementary school)-S1(undergraduated) and there was significant difference in newborn condition and level of patient’s education (p<0.05). The level of newborn weight were classified as <2500 g 26 (21.8%) and normal weight (2500 g4000 g) 93 (78.2%). We also found the significant difference between the level of newborn condition and newborn weight (p<0.05). But there is no significant relationship existed between the newborn condition and indication of CS. The newborn condition was evaluated based on APGAR score. Conclusions: The newborn condition of caesarian section was highly correlated with level of mother’s education, newborn weight, and patient’s refer. Therefore, by this data we can show to the government as those contributing factors should be evaluated to improve the facilitation to decrease the mortality and morbidity of maternal and child as the way to improve fetomaternal health quality in Indonesia.

C-Tb as a Novel Skin Test Method to Diagnose Latent and Active Mycobacterium tuberculosis Infection in Children Muhammad Reyhan, Eddy Zulfikar, Nabila Zhavirah Putri Arfin Hasanuddin University It is noted that the difficulties with access to TB diagnosis and care is the major cause of increasing cases of childhood TB each year. There are two accepted but imperfect tests for identification of childhood TB : The Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) and The Gamma Interferon (IFN-!) Release Assay (IGRA). Both tests depend on cell-mediated immunity (memory T-cell response), and neither test can accurately distinguish between latent TB infection and active TB disease. As a solution, scientist currently starts to develop C-Tb, a new skin test method designed to combine the operational advantages of the TST with the specificity of IGRAs for the diagnosis of M.tuberculosis infection in individuals at risk of developing active tuberculosis. Material and Methods: This paper was made using literature review method. On the research conducted by Ruhwald et al (2017), Negative controls, close contacts, occasional contacts, and patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis were enrolled at 13 centres in Spain. The comparison was done between C-Tb with the QuantiFERON-TB Gold. In-Tube (QFT) IGRA and the TST. From July 2012, to Oct 2014, 979 participants were enrolled. Induration sizes were similar for C-Tb and TST, but TST positivity was affected by BCG vaccination status. It is found a strong positive trend towards C-Tb test positivity with increasing risk of infection, from 3% in negative controls to 16% in occasional contacts, to 43% in close contacts. C-Tb and QFT results were concordant in 785 (94%) of 834 participants aged 5 years and older. The safety profile of C-Tb was similar to that for the TST. With the sensitivity similiar to IGRA and unaffected by BCG vaccination status, the C-Tb skin test might provide more accurate treatment guidance in settings where the TST is commonly used.

Don't Let Your Elders Alone Januar Richard, Jeanne Vibertyn Hasanuddin University Abstract This photos take a old man called Daeng Naba as a model. He's a newspaper courier at Makassar and He is 82 years old now. The background of this photo tells Dg. Naba's life as an elder who didn't enjoy he's old age, he is alone and looks unhealthy, he is work over hard than the others elder should have, it gives any risk to him. especially for him health. He stands at the center of the road and hawking the newspaper into everyone landed to traffic light. As the world's population ages. the interdisciplinary site of geriatric medicine has begun to expand. That recognition that aging brings with it changes in neurobiologic, psychosocial. and physical functioning. According to that, successful aging was needed. It doesn't just absence the disease, It is Physical Health, Financial Security. Productivity and Employment, Independence. Coping Well and An Optimistic Outlook. Staying Involved in Activities and with Peopl who Bring Meaning and Support. The concept of "wellness" has been associated with successful aging, wellness represent balance among the environment, emotional spiritual, social, physical, and cultural aspect of the individual s life part of wellness. New definition of successful aging continue to be develop as research and practice with the older adult population progresses. There was too much research at the previou about successful aging, but fact the didn't show. There was approximately 2,7 millions elder has been displaced. Especially at psychosocial and economic side. Most of them still have to earn a living for survival in life, being a newspaper courier, to sufficienting their life. We know that the men no longer young again, 82 years old is too old for being a courier man, but there's not other choice, Dg, Naba has to do In other side, psychological situation of the elders need more care from their family as a closest person at their life. So hy we should be care? Because the elders have too complicated medical and pshychoscial problems, they have decreased the physical function, increased sensitivity of the central nervous system, non-verbal communication, auditory and visual difficult to obtain, seizure and dysphagia ommon problems. sensitivity to meds. cognitive difficulties. communication difficulties. abnormal behavior, impaired cognitive, easy to get mad, and many more. They have so much limitation at their life they need our caring, the need our love, didn't just by drugs we bring but with some love we spread so the successful aging concept would raise wider.

ROAD TO BE A HEALTHY LEADER Fidesha Nurganiah, Andi Muh. Fadlillah Hasanuddin University Abstract Life expectancy in Indonesia is getting better, so the numbers of elders in Indonesia are rising. But unfortunately, we are less aware of diseases that we will acquire when we are old. Aging process is the physiologic phenomenon but when we are not aware of our health, it will not be physiologic. There are many stigmas that elder people cannot do anything, not productive etc, but it all depends on lifestyle when we are young. The key of healthy life when we are old is to start living on healthy lifestyle, such as eating balanced diet, not smoking active body and mind, do regular checkups ,etc. This poster is made on purpose to invite people to start living on healthy lifestyle for their elderly life. We have to start giving our concern to this issue because the numbers of elders in Indonesia are keep rising every year. In fact, in 2010 the number of elder reach 18,57 million people and rising about 7.93% from 14.44 million in 2000. It's forecasted that in 2025 it will reach about 34.22 million people (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2010) Not all the elders are in good condition, some of them are being strayed or even live with their family but in sick condition. For example, the survey of Elder Care House Binjai, in January 2012, there are 47 of 70 people that have Body Mass Index lower than 17. In other words there are a lot of elder that are not in healthy condition and of course this will make a new problem toward health issue (BKKBN 2012) There are many diseases that often happen to elder, such as Coronary Heart Disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Stroke, etc. Let's take stroke as the example. Stroke often manifest in disability. Disability makes us unable to move, walk, touch, and feel freely, it limits us to do anything we want, even with help of other people or tools. Imagine, if we become older, disability will disturb us to do our activities. So, to avoid the disability to occur, we must pay attention and start living in healthy lifestyle, and we, as the next generation in humanity, have to build healthy future for ourselves, the world, and the following generation. So, we should start living healthly to reach the goal of being a healthy elder and reduce the problems in health, especially in elder care =

FALL CASES IN GERIATRIC Achmad Randi, Uswah Hasanuddin Hasanuddin University Abstract Each year, one in every three adults age 65 and older falls. Falls can cause moderate to severe injuries, such as hip fractures and head injuries. and can increase the risk of early death. Fortunately. falls are a public health problem that is largely preventable. Among older adults (those 65 or older), falls are the leading cause of injury death. They are also the most common cause of nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma. The opportunity to help reduce falls among older adults has never been better. Today, there are effective fall prevention interventions that can be used in community settings. By offering effective fall prevention programs in our communities, we can reduce falls and help older adults live better, longer lives. The decision to acquire and use a walking stick should be based on facts that it is a practical solution to an existing problem. Avoiding the use of a walking stick may :minimize a person's degree of mobility thereby restricting daily activities, reduce a person's confidence in moving around unassisted thereby contributing to depression, lead to repeated falls, which in the elderly may have dire consequences due to weakening bones and poor healing time, mit self-care and increase the need or dependence on caregivers.

Don’t Let Everything You Love Turns to Ashes Ahmad Aulia Rizaly, Julia Jolanet S. Adam Hasanuddin University Abstract In 2011, hundreds of fire in residential area occurred. Billions of rupiahs were lost and hundreds of lives were burnt into ashes. Most fires start with small fire, then the fire gets bigger because most people do not know how to handle fire properly. Most people are panicked and lacked ofknowledge in facing case of fire. For example, they do not know how to contact firefighter by calling l13 and paramedic by calling 118. This panic and ignorance cause billions of rupiahs and hundreds of lives burn into ashes In order to answer this call, we make this poster to educate people about what must be done in case of fire. With effective steps to face fire, we hope people can get our message and apply these steps in their real life. Through this poster, we hope no more husband that losses his wife, no more wife losses her children, and no more children loss their parents in the case of fire.

Keep Calm When The Earth Starts to Quake Rizna Ariani Said Hasanuddin University Abstract Unlike other countries, Indonesia has not well prepared for facing an earthquake. Most of the citizens do not know what to do about it while we know earthquake strikes Indonesia every year. That is the main reason I made this poster. This poster can be put everywhere, can be seen by everyone. First of all, the best thing to do during an earthquake is try to stay calm. This may be difficult, but remaining calm and thinking clearly will go a long way toward keeping you and other people safe. Remaining calm can help you to stay focus. For your own safety when you feel the building or ground begin to shake, remember these steps: DROP to the ground wherever you are COVER yourself by getting under a table HOLD ON to something sturdy until the shaking stops In this poster, I do not only show the problem (shown by picture of panic people running), but I also propose the solutions (shown by the message “Keep Calm” and “Drop — Cover — Hold On”. Since the target of my poster is the people in public places, they should understand about the message of this poster by making it simple but clear and meaningful.

Forgot That Red Thing and You Lose Everything Achmad Randi, Nahda Yaumi Chair Haq, Uswah Hasanuddin Hasanuddin University Abstract: Nowdays, fire still being the urban phenomenon which until now still not be absolutely prevented or overcame enough. Tendency of the increasing of this case, handlin that we could say aren't covering enough, and also the big impacts of this case should make us realize that prevention and rescue lifes of risk caused fire rationally are needed. But In fact, in our country this case doesn't get enough attention from government, and lack of education of society and lack of good fire management systems. Fire phenomenon is unique and special event in Indonesia that seen as a consequence of residential improved or densely populated settlements in urban slums often resulting in ess attention to the terms and conditions of safety against fire. Makassar, one of biggest city in Indonesia, fire remains the most often disaster that happened in. Makassar is the urban area that has a dense residential area. Every year there are more than 100 cases of fires in Makassar. That impact a lot of harm, such as life, material, and psychological Requires a long process of repair and requires a lot of funds. So, we could see that there is no integrated system in prevention and management of fires in the Makassar, that making it difficult to reduce the number of fires in Makassar. One of the solution of this case that we could find nowdays on Kepmeneg PU no 11/KPTS/2000 about term of technical management of urban fire prevention is Fire Management Area (FMA) In that term, FMA concept regulating the management of regional security system involving a home or building security management, environmental management and the management off urban areas housing against fire. But, once again this isn't make any different for better to our country, In the other side research on fire has never been held before, especially in Indonesia, so things are included in the issues such as the definition of fire and the elements that trigger the fire should be specified. With tendency ofincreasing of fire caused by intent element, research and big attention to this case are worth From the description above, we can conclude that the fire prevention, handling of fire even fires can occur due to several factors and also require the assistance of a number of factors. In this case there are factors that responsible for preventing and mitigating the effect of the fire First, the government. They should make anything to improve the density of living people in Indonesia and grow the great urban planning, Second, the fire department. They need to change into better in coordinate in handling fire. And the society, they need to be more aware for their installation ofelectrical equipment, get to know more about fire management area in education

Title HIV Doesn’t Transmit Under Our Watch
Name of Universities and author University: Hasanuddin University Authors: 1. Annas Zulfakhri Abidin 2. Dini Mutia Khairunnisa
Background Looking at the world these days is not sophisticatedly interesting anymore. We witness the same things every day, unlike the past when people easily get excited with something, and they have something to do for that thing. One of the foremost problems, is the Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome or AIDS. Yes, wide crowds do recognize it, but one thing we may not notice is how we deal with it. This poster represents the thought of a simple perspective, consequently having a look yet still trying to notice the real deal. This poster tells the crowd of the efforts that humans are making on dealing with the AIDS’s predecessor, Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV. As basic knowledge, it is known that this AIDS serves as an ‘effect’ of what HIV does to the body. Therefore, the main point in dealing with AIDS lays with the prevention of HIV transmittance. People must know what to do here. But what’s gravity defying is that of a habit of ignorance, and sometimes even discrimination. They need to know that all parts of the society carry the role in prevention of HIV transmittance. Overseeing those problems, wide people should discard the old mindset in order to achieve a brand new level of understanding and comprehension. We all need to know how to really deal, to abolish all negative perspectives which may arise, such as discrimination among those who’s infected, knowing that those people are having their lives on the line. Nonetheless, we all can take a first step to start these means, by exposing our efforts of stopping HIV and curing AIDS. But ignorance is the only enemy we’re facing now. Because ignoring means not doing anything, anything at all for our own mankind, possibly even our descendants.

Muhammad Arham Harun, Amy Tryabto Arifin, Nurul Fadhilah Hasanuddin University Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disorder of elderly people that gradually destroys a person’s memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgements communicate and carry out daily activity. This poster captures the process of alzheimer’s itself, where the mass of the brain gets smaller consistent with the age of the person getting older. The shrinkage of brain mass affects the drop of brain ability to perform activities such as remembering things, interpret incidents, and other activities, which makes the worse phase of this disease is when the patient loses his/her entire memory and eventually won’t even be able recognize his/herselfanymore. There are two reasons that make Alzheimer’s such an important issue and deserves special attention, first is that basically to treat someone that has alzheimer’s isn’t easy, it needs lots of patience and persistence in facing unpredictable situations with the patient, because these patients sometimes can seem to act normal, in meaning they’re able to remember things almost as good as if they’re not sick at all, but at other times, the patient can be seen very depressed at times when they’re not able to recognize other people around the him/her and even his/her own self in this case. The second reason is just as important, it’s that in several studies on alzheimer’s show that the cause of this disease is because the brain isn’t used to think or to act passive that often or in other cases can be caused by massive stress or depression. Because of that, we see by fully using the brain but in a relax way and not forcing the brain to work too much is expected to be a key factor to prevent this disease and reduce the number of patients in the future. So we describe alzheimer’s in this poster hoping that it can explain the process of alzheimer’s quite well and we also hope that the society and especially the youth to know better and be more concern of their self and to be more aware by implanting a better lifestyle in order to reduce the number of alzheimer’s patients in the future. Slide to be Healthy Andi Tiara S. Adam, Andi Yaumil Chaeriyah, Andi Asyura Alikha Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia Smartphones are now spreading faster than any technology in human history. In Indonesia, recent studies show that smartphone users increase 8.6% every month. More astonishingly, according to global statistics, there are 1.91 billion people that own a smartphone, and it is expected to double in number two years from now. The most appealing fact is, smartphones are also capable to provide a reliable and inexpensive way to reach people no matter where they are. With the massive coverage that this technology has to offer, it becomes thebest solution for prevention and management of urgent global health issues. Avoiding the risk of having diseases, and fighting the disease in order to pursue a healthier life is very challenging. But now, there are more than 97.000 smartphone applications related to health ready to accompany its user to fight the battle together. Every application has a different use, from the simplest ones like movement and activity trackers, to the more sophisticated ones like blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, and noncommunicable diseases management. It is an effective solution indeed. But unfortunately, the majority of people do not fully utilize their smartphone. According to a survey by Nielsen Company, today’s smartphones are mainly used for simple purposes like texting, playing games, checking the weather, and so on. Therefore, we would like to enhance the knowledge of the society about the actual capability of their phone, that it can now be a tool to reach their healthy life, not just a device to text or play games. With the understanding of the society, we hope that they can use their smartphone smartly. Be healthy, be mobile. Be Healthy, Be Mobile Andi Tiara S. Adam, Andi Yaumil Chaeriyah, Andi Asyura Alikha Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia Most people consider their smartphone to be the most important piece of technology that they own.It can be seen through the number of smartphone users that keep on skyrocketing.Even in developing countries such as Indonesia,70% of the total population owns a smartphone.Viewing it on a worldwide scale, 1.91 billion people are smartphone users. This shows that the smartphone has shifted from being a luxury item, to becoming a basic needand even a form of addiction for certain layers of society. This addiction can be seen through the compulsive behaviors of a person to check their phone every few minutes. This form of addiction sends a negative message to the society that your smartphone is something that you have to avoid. Here is where our society gets it wrong. The whole idea is not about the choice between using or not using technology. The challenge is to use it right. The way to use it right is by combining your smartphone with a positive matter. Your health for example. There are currently more than 97.000 mobile health applications on your smartphone that can help you reduce your risk of developing any noncommunicable disease by 80% and also help you fight through one. These applications can do the simplest actions like movement and activity tracking, to the more sophisticated actions like blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, and noncommunicable diseases management. Anyone with a smartphone could easily download it and apply it in their life. With that said, we would like to promote smartphone as the best solution for health issues, as it brings healthcare to your hand. Contact details Andi Tiara S. Over time, Google became the most popular search engine on the world wide web to obtain information, including health information, such as various types of disease and its treatment. Therefore, in this time, many internet users resolve their health problems by using Google, or what we call Dr. Google services, but it is still debatable among the world community. This is because Dr. Google has a positive and negative impact on a person who would use this as a primary health service. Dr. Google is able to cure diseases because they are able to provide quick and instant access of medical information that would not be provided back where internet did not exist. Full of doubts, Dr. Google raises controversy because the information obtained is not entirely trustworthy and is not supported by a doctor's diagnosis, therefore patients do not know the dose and duration of drug therapy, and can lead to complications. On the 26 cases, Google gives the correct diagnosis in 15 cases, while in 11 other cases, Google approach the correct diagnosis, but is not specific enough to be considered correct (Hangwa & Jennifer, 2006:1143). Therefore, as an internet users, we must use these services appropriately. Users of Dr. Google should know what the symptoms and signs of their illness before searching information. If they do not know or doubt, it is better to consult a doctor immediately to avoid misdiagnostic. In addition, users are also expected to find sources of information on the trusted site. The Time Has No Limit But Your Body Surely Does Falensia Dwita Lestari, Nurizki Meutiarani, Richard Winardi Universitas Hasanuddin, Indonesia ABSTRACT Background Technology is not a new concept. Humans have been innovating ways to make life easier from the beginning. Recently, these changes have been coming faster and faster. Technology itself is not a bad thing; actually, it has helped better millions of lives by providing faster and more easily accessible information for education, job performance, and entertainment. However, it is becoming more of an impact and prevalent in the lives of its users. This leads to higher rates of technology addiction and can lead to numerous social, physical, and psychological problems. Technology often fulfills our natural human needs for stimulation, interaction, and changes in environment with great efficiency. Overusing the technology can lead to technology addiction. Vision Watch Data 2014 showed that nearly one-third of adults (30%) spend at least nine hours on digital devices each day. These are symptoms commonly associated with overexposure of digital devices such as eye strain, neck/shoulder/back pain, headache, blurred vision, dry eyes. This type of addiction unfortunately can lead to several bad impacts. Also, selfluminous devices, such as computers, tablets and cell phones can emit short wave length (blue) light, which maximally suppresses melatonin and cause detrimental to sleep quantity and quality. In order to prevent the negative impact of technology the user must use it wisely. Objective: Through this public poster, we would like to spread the message and increase society awareness regarding the bad impact of overusing technology and in the end we can get the benefit from technology without sacrificing our own body.! Saving the Money for Health Insurance Objectives: When people talk and then offered an insurance product, most people will avoid it. It is because the stereotypes of insurance agents in the past which is identical to the the person who seem less accommodating their customers and also the procedure was complicated. But nowadays, there are a lot of insurance companies that compete to offered their product with their best service and easier procedure, which is, give more benefit toward their customer. It has been said that nothing is more important than your health, and there is a lot of truth to that saying. Among other things, a loss of health can mean a loss of earnings if you are not able to work, and it can also mean medical bills that are extremely expensive. The importance of having health insurance should not be dismissed or underestimated. Health insurance can covers the unpredictable moments in life. It is the guarantee of being seen when ill and to have that medical treatment on a pay scale based on coverage. Rising medical costs can wipe out a lifetime of savings with just one major medical event. Even the most routine of surgeries can cost tens-of-thousands of dollars, and more sophisticated procedures can easily run into the hundreds-of-thousands of dollars. Health insurance can help pay those skyrocketing cost and help save you from financial ruin. It can also help individuals to lead more healthy lives by paying for preventive measures such as regular check ups and immunizations to name just two. We could imagine that when uninsured, we receive less medical care and less timely care and these seem to be the people that experience the worse health problems. So, saving your money for health insurance is the better option.

Doctor vs. Witchdoctor Nadya Eunice S. & Imanuela Yoel B., Hasanuddin University
Indonesia is rich in cultures which vary according to local tradition that passed from generation to generation. Even in health area, it is believed that a person that called “smart person” or witchdoctor has an ability to heal without doctor’s help. Besides of the cheaper cost, the traditional medication and therapy are easier to be reached, especially for those who living in isolated village. In this condition, is doctor no longer needed? According to SSEN 2004, 72,44% of the population prefer to do self-medication and 32,87% tried traditional medication. Whether it is safe or not is the problem. How do we know if this witchdoctor could really heal without any side effect? And is it trusted or is it just a luck that people that come to the witchdoctor heal themselves? According to Darmajdi Ismono, there is a significant increasement of disablement of limb caused by fracture from 1998-2000 to 2003-2007 as 150 patients. 22 of them have infection that tought to be caused by inaccurate therapy by witchdoctor that worsen the patient's condition. At the end, they will come to doctor to cure their problem. Why don't they come to the doctor in the very first place? The goverment has already authorized the BPJS anyway. A doctor has experience more than 5 years education in health and medicine that is certified and already pass through the exit exam, how can we compare it with a person that is being famous just by heal a person accidentaly or maybe not, but they do not know about our body, our body’s anatomy! Through this poster, we want to raise public awareness about how important is it to come to the doctor than a witchdoctor.

Protect Your Child Give a Shot of Vaccines Objectives: Vaccines help develop immunity by imitating an infection. This type of infection, however, does not cause illness, but it does cause the immune system to produce Tlymphocytes and antibodies. Some people believe that naturally acquired immunity (immunity from having the disease itself) is better than the immunity provided by vaccines. However, natural infections can cause severe complications and be deadly. It is impossible to predict who will get serious infections that may lead to hospitalization. Vaccines are recommended for very young children because their immune systems are not yet fully mature. When a baby is developing in the mother's womb it is in a sterile environment. The baby's immune system goes into action at birth, as the child confronts bacteria outside of the womb. But our bodies are an amazing creation with an immune system that is ready to go to work from the moment that we are born. Infants begin to immediately develop an active immune response to these bacteria -- an immune response that prevents these bacteria from entering the bloodstream and causing harm. Doctors and other public health experts have worked hard to come up with the optimal vaccination schedule, affording the most complete and safest protection possible. It is not advisable to skip or delay vaccines, as this will leave the child vulnerable to disease for a longer period of time. Diseases that vaccines prevent can be dangerous, or even deadly. Vaccines greatly reduce the risk of infection by working with the body’s natural defenses to safely develop immunity to disease. This is how vaccines can protect our child with producing immunity.

Abstract Some trends are now becoming problematic, since it can negatively influence young generation particulary in health sector. There are many teens decided smoke simply because it’s a requirement to be accepted in their social environment eventhough they exaclty knew it has some direct impacts to their body.In some worse cases, smoking is now becoming a way for someone to look cool and strong in front of others. This mindset is very urgent to be shifted, and teenagers nowadays need to think that standing on the right side will be always right despite of what other people think. You are going to be good by attitude, not by people's opinion.

Abstract: Healthiness is one of basic human right that need to be sustained, not only by doctor and other healthworkers but also by other proffesional jobs. In order to achieve this, we need all proffesional jobs to work together side by side in each specific sector to reach this very important goal. For instance, farmer needs to provide fresh and healthy food while cleaning services need to keep our environment cleaned in order to create a proper system to live. This also need to be applied to other proffesional jobs, otherwise we wouldnt reach the goal we were dreaming for

Look Around, Don’ t Let It Drown Andi Asyura Alikha, Muhammad Arham Harun, Syauqi Darussalam Lutfi, Andi Tiara S. Adam Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia Short Description Climate change is real and so is the threat. Warmer temperatures due to climate change evaporate more water into the air as it holds more water, resulting in heavier downpours. In the last decade, floods cause enormous damage all over the world, claiming about 93,000 fatalities. While in Indonesia, within 2014, 108 floods were reported with water levels ranging from 10cm to 5m, affected more than 1,160,000 people with 52 fatalities. Floods affect tropical countries in Asia the most, victimize 400 million Asians annually. But climate change enable floods to threaten those outside tropical regions. Louisiana for instance, that has not been flooded for decades suffered a nightmarish flood due to a heavy storm in August 2016. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the World Weather Attribution said increasing global temperatures driven by human activity caused the Louisiana floods. They even claimed that climate change is doubling the odds of such a storm compared to in our preindustrial past say, 1900. Increasing floods occurance is a serious issue, especially considering how floods pose terrifying health threats. Flood causes drowning, physical injuries, and even disrupts the supply of health services. Flood also contaminates freshwater supplies, heightens risk of waterborne diseases like dhiarrhea and hepatitis, it even multiplies disease-carrying insects like mosquitoes. Best way in facing flood threats is to be prepared and informed regarding possible floods and its consequences. Providing good irrigation and planting trees can prevent flooding in towns by 20%. Combating climate change as the main contributor to this floods is also an absolute measurement to take. Simply, adopting anti-climate change behaviors like reducing motor vehicles usage and unplug any unsued electrical devices can help reduce harmful gas and thus reducing the chance of flooding. Predicting flood is impossible, but reducing the threat is possible.

Small Bite, Big Threat Andi Tiara S. Adam, Andi Asyura Alikha, Muhammad Arham Harun, Syauqi Darussalam Lutfi Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia Short Description Climate change projections show that both temperature and precipitation levels will increase and accelerate in the future over all of Southeast Asia. This process started in the 1980s, and has been increasing each year with ideal conditions for world's deadliest mosquito-borne diseases such as the Zika virus, dengue fever, and malaria. Even slightest changes in climate can increase disease transmission. Research suggests that climate change directly affects mosquito-borne diseases by altering the immature mosquito development process, virus development and mosquito biting rates. As an effect, transmission rates have increased since the 1980s. Nowadays, approximately 3.8 billion people are exposed to mosquitoes, with Indonesia as the ultimate hot spot for mosquito-borne diseases. These diseases affect around 700 people, and even causing 1 million deaths each year. It could be disastrous for Southeast Asia, a home to more than 25 percent of global population, and this puts all their lives in jeopardy. Although transmission is common in tropical regions, with warmer climate, mosquito vectors and mosquito borne-diseases would increase in North America and Europe. The best way to avoid mosquito-borne diseases is preventing mosquito bites and development process, for example by applying mosquito repellent, and cover or clean potential mosquito breeding sites. But now with our constantly changing climate, we must remember that climate change would lead to serious consequences, which makes combating climate change most essential in fighting mosquitoborne diseases. Therefore by replacing regular light bulbs to low-energy LED bulbs, replacing outside lights with specially designed low-energy “anti-bug lights, and planting natural mosquito-repellent plants on your front porch will not only stop mosquitoes from entering your home, they also can combat climate change as well. It is best to start prevention from now, because one small bite is all it takes to cause big threats against human health. Contact details Ananta Siddhi Prawara anantasiddhi@gmail.com +6281290187030

Solution For Pollution Muhammad Arham Harun, Syauqi Darussalam Lutfi, Andi Asyura Alikha, Andi Tiara S. Adam Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia Short Description “I’m going out for a breath of fresh air” seems to be a phrase we often hear. Unfortunately today, that “fresh air” isn’t exactly fresh, thanks to the number of motor vehicles emitting deadly pollutants. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, motor vehicles produce dangerous pollutants like NO, NO2, CO, and etc. Research suggests that motor vehicle emissions contribute to about 90% of air pollution as well as climate change. The exposure from these pollutants will not only affect our environment, but also our health, by creating mild symptoms such as watery eyes, coughing, or wheezing. But, long term exposure will lead to severe respiratory irritation and diseases, including asthma, lung cancer, and COPD. As the result, air pollution created 3.7 million deaths globally, and 1.67 million of it occurred in Western Pacific and South East Asia. From the perspective of a citizen from this area, combatting this issue must become our priority. Unfortunately, tackling this issue has become difficult especially for high risk countries such as Indonesia. Motor vehicles has grown by 10 percent every year, bringing the total of 16 million in 2016. Secondly, vehicle owner are extremely dependent toward their vehicle even in short trips. Both factors combined in making unhealthy living pattern and even more polluted air. However, there is one way to combat both the health and environmental issues air pollution created, which is bicycle. The Copenhagen cohort study stated that cycling reduced the risk of all-cause mortality by 28%, including the risk of developing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, even cancers. Not to mention that we can improve our air quality, reduce transport-related greenhouse emissions by 0.4%, and lower noise levels. With all these benefits, we believe that we can bring back the fresh air by reducing the use of motor vehicles, and start biking.

Put Your Sunscreen On Muhammad Reyhan, Richard Holman Matanta, Sari Miftahul Jannah Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University Makassar, Indonesia
Abstract In the recent 50 years (1960-2010), earth’s temperature have been increased approcimately 0,6oC, while it has only been increased by 0,4oC in the preceding 100 years (1860-1960). This increase has some adverse effects to humans. Changes in temperature affects the weather, and results in the crops and food depletion Even more, it may affects the skin which is continously exposed to the enviroment- especially sunlight. A clear correlation between skin cancer and climate change is proved by the increasing incidence of skin cancer, starting from 1960s. Skin cancer is a group of malignancy which may arrive from any types of cell in the skin (basal cell, melanocyte, etc) Ionizing radiation such as UVR may results in DNA damage and cause malignancy. Even more, immunosuppresive effect of UVR will worsen and assist the tumor metastasis. One type of skin cancer which contributes to 75% of all deaths related to skin cancer is malignant melanoma Malignant melanoma has a poor response to chemotherapy. Poor prognosis results from this property, and difficulty of surgical therapy due to metastasis. Even in non-malignant melanoma, large freckles may causes aesthetical issue. Because of its resistance to current therapeutic options, prevention is highly recommended rather than curative approach. It is recommended to minimalize direct sun exposurs. This method is effective, but would not meet people’s high activity. The simplest way to lower the risk of melanoma in climate change times while staying active, is by simply using the sunscreen. Recommended sunscreen with at least SPF 15 is enough to block 94% of UVR to the skin. Some study have shown that using the recommended sunscreen would lower the risk of melanoma by 50%. This cheap and easy method will for sure protects you from the emerging problem. So remember whenever you go outside, put your sunscreen on!

Think Before You Drink Syauqi Darussalam Lutfi, Muhammad Arham Harun, Andi Asyura Alikha, Andi Tiara S. Adam Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia Short Description Water is essential for our life. Living without water for more than 3 days is impossible. But the painful truth is that, we are unconsciously changing our source of life into the cause of death of millions of people by doing simple actions. As we drive our car or even charge our gadgets, we give constant contribution to climate change which apparently is the cause of water contamination. Water contamination has worsen due to climate change. Climate change has risen the temperature, creating a warm and more hospitable environment for harmful microbes to grow in water. It has also led to heavier downpours and floods which often contain contaminants that can overwhelm water sources, and later increase the risk of exposure to microbes and other unhealthy pollutants. This contaminated water comes out of our taps everyday, known as ‘clean water’. It proves that our tap water is not always safe to drink. In fact in Indonesia, ‘clean water’ received by 1 of 5 does not meet WHO’s criteria for safe drinking water. As a result, consuming contaminated water has become the leading cause of numerous water-related diseases. According to WHO, 3.4 million people, mostly children, die from water-related diseases like diarrhea and thyphoid. While in Indonesia, diarrhea kills more than 100.000 children under five annually. The best way to prevent those water-borne diseases is by preventing the contamination of the water we consume. We can start by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimalizing the release of hazardous chemicals and materials. But tackling water pollution issues is not enough, we should also combat climate change as the main contributor. Simply adopting anti-climate change behaviors like reducing the use of motor vehicles and unpluging unsued electrical devices can help reducing harmful gas emissions. Act now, protect our water, secure our future. Contact details Ananta Siddhi Prawara anantasiddhi@gmail.com +6281290187030

TIME to REST, to AIM for the BEST A.Nurul Azizah Maruddani, Khumaira, Budi Sutiono, Imam Amriadi AS Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia Becoming a medical professional holds a true meaning of “saving lives”. As health-care provider, one should put full attention to the well-being of the patients regardless the situation. Unfortunately, this premise often misleads to the condition where they ignore their own well-being as a human. Normal adults need approximately 7 hours of sleep each day, which means around 49 hours in a week. In contrary, a junior doctor in a hospital only get to sleep 3-4 hours in a day, not to mention several slepless nights have to be spent during heavy call rotations. Fatigue , or exhaustion is a feeling of tiredness, alleviated by periods of rest. Various studies find numerous adverse effects of fatigue, both on cognitive and psychomotor ability. It clearly demonstrates negative consequences on personal safety, such as the occurence of needlestick injury or even increased risk of accidents while driving after long-shifts. On top of it all, there is big potential consequences for patient safety, such as clinical errors and diagnostic mistake. This problem surely calls for drastic measures. In developed countries such as U.K. and U.S. , working time restriction is already introduced. Several studies found that these working time reduction for junior doctors found to bring positive impacts to the health-care quality.

A POINT TO REMEMBER: BE CAREFUL WITH SYRINGES Andi Muh. Firshan Makbul, Dhiya Muthiah Gaffari, Amila Saliha M. Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia According to WHO, sharp injuries resulted in 16000 hepatitis C viruses, 66000 hepatitis B viruses and 1000 HIV infections in healthcare workers worldwide. Recapping, disassembly, and inappropriate disposal increase the risk of needle stick injury. This incidence is higher in developing countries for the higher rate of injection with previously used syringes. Developing countries where the prevalence of HIV-infected patients is very high, record the highest needle stick injury too. Needle stick injuries were also common occupational health hazard. In carrying out work activities, we cannot be free from the risk of accidents. Operating room, treatment room, and lab are areas where a lot sharps in particular needles, both syringes and suture needles are used. The incidence of needle stick injury in Hospital is an event that is always there in every hospital. The incidence of needle stick injury in Hospital is like an iceberg phenomenon. Meanwhile, in Indonesia many cases but not all are reported, only certain cases. This is due to the lack of awareness of victims who do not report what had happened. Prudence in action can reduce the risk of needle stick injury among them. But In case it happened, healthcare workers need sufficient knowledge in dealing with these injuries. The awareness of victims to report the experienced events are also necessary. Because the victim will receive further treatment related to whether or not they should be given medication or given counseling only. So, stay out of trouble by always remember to be careful with syringe.

In providing health for their patients, medical workers always try to give everything they could to fulfill the demand, even if everything means putting their own health on risk. How? In a regular work day, it can be emotionally draining as they witness suffering, pain, hurt, even death. By dealing with increasing amount of patient care demands, constrained resources, mounting paperwork can also cause them to experience mental stress. Stress is both a physical and emotional syndrome. It occurs when the demands on someone are greater than their capacity to respond. A downward spiral is frequently set up, because performance drops when stress mounts. In the new review, researcher led by Dr. Douglas Mata a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School, analyzed every study that had been published on the topic of residents and depression. The estimates of depression prevalence also varied widely, from 20% to 43%. But medical workers intrinsic personality traits often make it easy for them to ignore their own health needs and allow them to let work become their only priority. The fact that from the beginning they are already exposed to long hours and heavy workloads and the mindset that it's the only way to achieve success. Making them hesitate to consult, that they fear it would consider them as the weak ones and turn it to a bigger problem. The solutions are relatively simple which there needs to be a recognition and awareness of the contribution of medical residents toward their patients and themselves.

Medication Safety Remember: 3R Andi Muh. Firshan Makbul, Dhiya Muthiah Gaffari, Amila Saliha M. Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia
With the growing reliance on medication therapy as the primary intervention for most illnesses, patients receiving medication interventions are exposed to potential harm as well as benefits. Benefits are effective management of the illness/disease, slowed progression of the disease, and improved patient outcomes with few if any errors. Harm from medications can arise from unintended consequences as well as medication error (wrong medication, wrong time, wrong dose). Medication errors can cause serious adverse effect and potentially to evoke the fatal risk of the disease Monitoring the safety and efficacy of the drugs adequately can prevent the occurrence of adverse effect. An adverse drug event (ADE) is defined as harm experienced by a patient as a result of exposure to a medication, and ADEs account for nearly 700,000 emergency department visits and 100,000 hospitalizations each year. Medication errors have a huge impact on health care system, patient, etc. It compromises the confidence of patients on healthcare system. Preventing ADEs is a major priority for accrediting and regulatory agencies. Then, what role can medical health workers take? By following medication safety remember which are 3R that include Right Drugs, Right Patient, and Right Time. Right drugs, by giving patients the exact drug they need with the right dose and right route. Right patient, confirm patient’s identity. Make sure you don’t give the right drug to the wrong person. And last but not least, right time. Safety rules are there for us to follow. So, take care and we will see you tomorrow.

asaduljailie25@gmail.com nurizkim@gmail.com Background: When people talk and then offered an insurance product, most people will avoid it. Objective: The importance of having health insurance should not be dismissed or underestimated. Health insurance can covers the unpredictable moments in life. It is the guarantee of being seen when ill and to have that medical treatment on a pay scale based on coverage. Rising medical costs can wipe out a lifetime of savings with just one major medical event. Even the most routine of surgeries can cost tens-of-thousands of dollars, and more sophisticated procedures can easily run into the hundreds-ofthousands of dollars. Health insurance can help pay those skyrocketing cost and help save you from financial ruin. It can also help individuals to lead more healthy lives by paying for preventive measures such as regular check ups and immunizations to name just two. Conclusion: We could imagine that when uninsured, we receive less medical care and less timely care and these seem to be the people that experience the worse health problems. So, saving your money for health insurance is the better option.

Protect Your Patients, Protect Yourself! Andi Muh. Firshan Makbul, Dhiya Muthiah Gaffari, Iin Fadhilah Utami. Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia Through the process of providing health, healthcare workers often face hazardous working conditions with potential exposures to a variety of toxic and infectious agents. Given the high risks to the health problems in hospitals, it is necessary to do prevention against the disease incidence due to the potential exposures. Like shield and armor to knights, to protect themselves, healthcare workers have their own which are known as PPE. Personal Protective Equipment is specialized clothing or equipment used to prevent contact with hazardous substances. It protects healthcare workers from direct exposure to blood, body fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. Also, it reduces the transmission of communicable diseases when other measures such as engineering controls and work practices cannot completely eliminate the exposure. In terms of communicable disease, Nosocomial infections or are known as Healthcareassociated Infections (HAIs) is an infection that spread among patient and healthcare workers in hospitals that occur during treatment. Several studies in the year 1995-2010 show that HAIs’ prevalence in developing countries is higher than developed countries. Infection from officers definitely affect the quality of service which includes all activities of medical health workers who hold professional interaction with the patient. Above all this facts, adherence to PPE protocols is often quite low. Few studies have tested improvement to adherence rate which bring to several conclusions that all includes knowledge in it. Together, we can spread the issue and increase the awareness on PPE protocols. Considering us to not only protect ourselves but also protecting the patients.

Background: Medicine used by all the creatures on the inside and outside of the body to prevent, alleviate and cure the diseases. Until now, medicine is one of component that irreplaceable in the health service, therefore it is very important for patients to use medicine appropriately. The rational usage of medicine is when patients receive treatment according to their clinical needs, appropriate doses, and within adequate period of time. Irrational usage of medicine will cause the decreasing treatment quality, which increase the morbidity and mortality, the risk of side effects that trigger the occurrence of undesired reactions, bacterial resistance, and psychosocial impact that resulted in the dependence of drugs that are not needed. For example, a group of drugs that most widely used is antibiotic. Improper usage of antibiotics will cause a lot of side effects like bacterial resistant that would bring harm to the patient itself. In Indonesia, the sensitivity test of bacteria in patients with pneumonia showed that the Pseudomonas sp. resistant to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, and ampicillin (87.5%). Objective: The purpose of this poster is to improve the quality of health services through health practitioners and the public as a patient. Doctors should explain the disease and educate patients to use their medicine properly. In addition, society as a patient should understand well the doctor explanation, especially in understanding the usage of medicine that has been prescribed. Conclusion: Well, through this poster, we hope every people should understand about their disease and how to use their medicine properly. Ask your doctor about the dose, when you should consume it, what is the function, and also the side effects that caused by the medicine. So you can choose your own medication with doctor’s help and the healing process will better with minimum side effect in the future.

Background: Doctors make an important contribution to the management and leadership of health services and the delivery of healthcare around the world as part of a multidisciplinary team. All doctors have some responsibilities for using resources; many will also lead teams or be involved in supervising colleagues. In order to improve the healthiness especially in Indonesia, we should not rely on doctor only to reach this goal. We should expand our mind that, healthiness, one of basic human right that need to be sustained, not only by doctor or other healthworkers but also by other proffesional jobs. And to achieve this, we need all professional jobs to work together side by side in each specific sector to reach this very important goal. Objective: We should now that every single job in this world give contribution to improve the healthiness in this country, through their little action but it is give meaningful impact to the society healthiness. For example the social services like teacher in the school that giving early education about how to keep your body fit and health; teacher teach us on how to clean our hand and our teeth properly, also how the school habituate us to exercise through sport class. Other examples are the farmer who provided fresh and healthy food, while cleaning services who keep our environment cleaned in order to create a proper system to live. Even it is not their main job to improve the healthiness, but somehow their action gave big impact to improve the healthiness indirectly. Even with the help of skillful doctors or proper medication, we can not to cure the disease without proper nutrition and clean environment. Conclusion: So, through this poster we want to send message for every people that whatever your job, you can be the front liner of healthiness. We can achieve better healthcare if all professional jobs work together, because together, we can do it!

Don’t nod, Ask! Richard Holman Matanta, Sausan Maulida Indonesia is currently facing an issue of antibiotic resistance. This is causing a big trouble, because Indonesia is still fighting with infectious diseases. While mutation is natural occuring in infectious agents which leads to antibiotic resistance, many healthcare provider in Indonesia speeds up this process by prescribing unnecessary antibiotics. Many patients force doctors to prescribe antibiotic, due to their lack of understanding of pharcokynetic and pharcodynamic of antibiotics. Around 50% of people in Jakarta believe that any kind of fever should be treated by antibiotics. Not only that, 70% of people in Jakarta believe that antibiotic should be used for any kind of infection –including viral infectionsBut, doctors also plays a role. Some doctors are eager to prescribe antibiotics even when there is no proof of bacterial infection. Because of these, a good relationship between doctors and patients are necessary. Patients and doctors should cooporate in order to implement a rational antibiotic use. In order to give rise to the awareness of this issue, this poster supposed to give the public a sight that different infectious agents should be treated with the appropriate antibiotics. Patients should be given the whole knowledge of the antibiotics they are using, from how the drugs works, why they are precribed and how to consume them. These knowledge is going to be important for the patients A total rational use of antibiotics is a long way to run for Indonesia. Better infrastructure and diagnostic tools are necessary in order to achieve a total accuracy for antibiotic. But a difference could be done by patients and us. And this is simply by asking the healthcare workers about our drugs. It is obvious, that in fighting infections and other medical problem, education and knowledge is still the best weapon- both for patients and healthcare providers

VACCINATION IS LOVE ACTUATION Andi Aynina Putri Aswati, Muhammad Reyhan, Nabila Zhavirah Putri Arfin Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia The anti-vaccination movement is creating catastrophic obstacle in the distribution of public health which is a reemergence of easily managed diseases. It’s truly endangering that some people do not have the actual idea of the impact of vaccines and how beneficial it is towards the health of many people. Diseases that used to be common around the world, including polio, measles, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), rubella (German measles), mumps, tetanus, rotavirus and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) can be prevented by vaccination. Over the years vaccines have prevented countless cases of disease and saved millions of lives. We aim to spread the effects of no vaccinations towards children by this poster and send the knowledge that vaccines are safe and is an effective prevention for children to get some infectious diseases. Newborn babies are immune to many diseases because they have antibodies they got from their mothers. However, this immunity goes away during the first year of life. Therefore If an unvaccinated child is exposed to a disease germ, the child’s body may not be strong enough to fight the disease. This is something that we want to prevent. Vaccines can make previously lethal diseases disappear from society and save countless lives. So let’s put aside the ego and think for a long-term benefit and the impact of your decision to a large scale society and the future of the children. !

Roundworms cause Crisis, it’s Helminthiasis Eddy Zulfikar, William Chandra Papendang, Nabila Zhavirah Putri Arfin Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia When infected with parasites, a person loses weight, weakens the immune system and cause general weakness, loss of performance, and in children will cause pathological disturbances in physical and mental development. Soil-transmitted helminth infections are among the most common infections worldwide and affect 10%-20% pre-school age children of the 2 billion people according to WHO. They are transmitted by eggs present in human faeces which turn contaminate soil in areas where sanitation is poor. The poster is sending the message that the nature of children is to play and not realizing the importance of their personal hygiene. Therefore, as adults or parents that see children playing in areas with poor sanitation, soil, or mud, we should always be cautious because those are the places where some children are at their happiest state, but also the place where it’s easier for them to be infected by helminthiasis. As it is the best for us to prevent the infection of helminthiasis because it can affect without any notice, and it usually occurs chronically.

Know The Sign! Felia Lairensia, Tiffany Baby Sentosa Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. In 2016, there were an estimated 216 million cases of malaria in 91 countries, an increase of 5 million cases over 2015. Malaria deaths reached 445.000 in 2016, a similar number (446.000) to 2015. Almost half of Indonesia’s population lives in malaria-endemic areas. In Java and Bali, where approximately 70% of the country's population live, malaria is hypoendemic and vivax malaria predominates. In the outer island groups, the incidence of malaria is much higher. Some population groups are at considerably higher risk of contracting malaria, and developing severe disease, than others. These include infants, children under 5 years of age, pregnant women and patients with HIV/AIDS. Children under 5 years of age are one of most vulnerable groups affected by malaria. There were an estimated 446.000 malaria deaths around the world in 2015, of which an estimated 303.000 (70.6%) were in children under 5 years of age. This poster was made in order to help us prevent malaria in children. Malaria is preventable. We can do that if we know the signs and symptomps developed by children with malaria. Parents who are aware with the signs of malaria appear in their children can look for medical attention to do an early diagnosis and treatment to reduces disease and prevents deaths. It also contributes to reducing malaria transmission. Malaria is a serious disease and a deadly illness in Indonesia. That’s why prevention of malaria in Indonesia is very important. The parents and us are responsible to prevent malaria, one of the infectious disease in children. It can be done by simply knowing the signs of malaria so we can do early diagnosis and treatment for the children.

DON’T KISS THE BABY Muhammad Reyhan, Nabila Zhavirah Putri Arfin, Arief Abdurrazaq Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University – Makassar, Indonesia Babies have immature immune system, so viruses and bacteria that cause mild illnesses in adults can cause severe illnesses in their tiny, vulnerable bodies. About 70% of all adults are infected with HSV-1 and may carry the virus in their saliva at any time during their lifetime even if they don’t have symptoms. HSV-1 is a type of herpes that is transmitted orally or skinto-skin, for example from when a baby gets a kiss from adults who are infected. Before 3 months old, a baby cannot fight the herpes virus. If a baby contracts this virus, it can cause liver and brain damage and lead to death. This public poster is spreading the message that cold sore caused by herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) might not seem like a serious health problem in an adult, but to a vulnerable newborn the infection can be serious. Thus,a simple form of affection through kiss, can still lead babies to suffer from illnesses. We believe that this simple knowledge of action will truly help to eradicate the risk of infection from HSV-1 to babies. Affection towards babies can be expressed in many ways, not by a kiss, but it’s better by caring about their health and well-being and prevent any kind of infection in its tracks. !
