AMSA-International The Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) International is a peak representative organization for medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Training doctors from 16 Member Nations and 11 Associate/Observer Nations combine to share knowledge, undertake activities, social services, and create not only international but also trans-continental friendships. AMSA was officially founded in Manila, Philippines in 1985 and from this day has been an active, dynamic and exciting student-led, notfor-profit, non-political organization. Today, with members and friends spanning the globe, AMSA has an active student-exchange program, regularly undertakes national and regional projects, provides humanitarian assistance at times of need, produces quarterly student publications and liaises with the World Health Organization, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia and many other international and regional medical student organizations. Since it was first established in 1979 and the first conference was held in Mahidol University of Thailand, the Asian Medical Students’ Conferences have been a key focus for the organization. Now held biannually in January/February and July/August these events see over 700 students from across the world combine to learn from each other, teach their fellow peers and develop lasting friendships.

AMSA-Indonesia Asian Medical Students’ Association Indonesia (AMSA-Indonesia) is the peak representative body for medical students in Indonesia. Founded in Yogyakarta, August 10th 1996. AMSA-Indonesia has been actively participating in plethora of national and international events. Its contribution to AMSA International as the roots of the organization are impressive, having hosted four Asian Medical Students’ Conference (AMSC) in 1990, 1996. 2003, 2010 and East Asian Medical Students’ Conference (EAMSC) in 2006 and 2015.

VISION AMSA-Indonesia as an organization that enhances its members to become medical students that give welfare to the community together with Knowledge, Action, and Friendship.

MISSION 1. To learn and build intensive communication between AMSA-Indonesia’s members. 2. To strengthen the sense of belonging of every members as a family. 3. To enhance medical skills of medical students. 4. To impact society with programs that collaborate with GO or NGO for healthier society.

AMSA-UNHAS AMSA-Unhas was founded on 2002 by three founders: dr. Yose, dr. Dimas, and dr. Akhtar. The observer, just needed 6 months to accept AMSAUnhas as a member of AMSA-Indonesia. AMSA-Unhas has been developing very quick. In 2004, our members were accepted as a board in AMSAIndonesia in 2005 as a board of AMSA International.

“Making AMSA-Unhas a place that accommodates member’s self development and can affect social communities with the principles of friendship, action, and knowledge”.

Academic and Research Academic Training Program (ATP) Increasing knowledge and interest of AMSA-Unhas members in making papers, scientific posters, public health posters, videos, photography, and white papers to gain enough knowledge and ready to participate in academic competitions.

Exam Preparation (EXPERT) Preparing pre-clinical members of AMSA-Unhas in facing theory, practices, and OSCE exams.

Assistant Routine Training (ARTERI) Accomodate AMSA-Unhas members who aspire to become assistant lecturers in departments they desire.

Multimedia and Scientific Training Program (MICRO) Providing a place for AMSA-Unhas members to channel their interests and develop their potential. Providing assistance for AMSA-Unhas members to make works that will be sent to competitions, whilst increasing the achievements of AMSA-Unhas members in several category of competitions such as paper, poster, video, and photography.

Debat Practice (DICE) Increasing the interest and the ability of AMSA-Unhas members in English debate.

Academic Bundle of Creations (ABDUCENS) Form of appreciation towards works of AMSA-Unhas members that has been sent to the national and international competitions as well as a source of reference for other members in the future.


Publication and Promotion AMSA-Unhas Booklet & Pamflet As a medium for general introduction to AMSA-Unhas and promotional media to prospective new members of AMSAUnhas and GO / NGO institutions.

AMSA-Unhas Podcast To publish AMSA-Unhas to the society and prospective members of AMSA-Unhas, socialize AMSAUnhas activities to members and nonmembers, and as learning tools for members and nonmembers.

AMSA-Unhas Website Providing information about the history and organizational structure of AMSAUnhas, publishing AMSA-Unhas activities and delegation, as well as increasing the knowledge of AMSAUnhas website readers through learning corner.

Greeting Card To send greetings in commemoration of religious holidays and important days in the medical world.

Post Event Video To publish AMSA-Unhas activities to the society and as documentation of AMSAUnhas activities.

AMSA-Unhas Youtube Content To publish AMSA-Unhas to the society and prospective members of AMSA-Unhas, Involving AMSA-Unhas members in making videos, and as Learning tools for members and non-members

AMSA-Unhas Profile Video Updating the video profile as well as being a means information about AMSA-Unhas.


External Relation Collaboration with GO/NGOs Improving quality and quantity of partnership with GO/NGO and maintaining the existence of AMSA-Unhas in mutual beneficial partnership.

International Delegates Formation Sending AMSA-Unhas members as AMSAIndonesia delegates on international events.

National Delegates Formation Selecting of AMSA-Unhas members, candidates for delegation of the national event, and sending delegates who have passed the selection stage and given provision to attend the event and the obligation to implement PEP (Post Event Project) as a form of accountability towards AMSA-Unhas.

Bidding Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program Maintaining and strengthening good relations between AMSA-Unhas with AMSA International and international chapters by being the host of AMSEP.

Embrace the Elderly Contributing on government's efforts to raise awareness about fulfilling elderly's needs while practicing the "Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi" in the field of community service.

Charity Webinar Practicing the “Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi” by partnering with the community to give health education and gathering donations for people in need.

Nurturing Children’s Health (NICE) Practicing the “Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi” by educating orphanage children about the importance of a clean and healthy lifestyle.
