AMSA INTERNATIONAL The Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) International is a peak representative organization for medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Training doctors from 16 Member Nations and 11 Associate/Observer Nations combine to share knowledge, undertake activities and social services and create international and transcontinental friendships. AMSA was officially founded in Manila, Philippines in 1985 and from this day has been an active, dynamic and exciting student-led, not-for profit, nonpolitical organization. Today, with members and friends spanning the globe AMSA has an active student-exchange program, regularly undertakes national and regional projects, provides humanitarian assistance at times of need, produces quarterly student publications and liaises with the World Health Organization, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia and many other international and regional medical student organization. Since it was first established in 1979 and the first conference was held in Mahidol University of Thailand the Asian Medical Students’ Conferences have been a key focus for the organization. Now held biannually in January/February and July/August these events see over 700 students from across the world combine to learn from each other, teach their fellow peers and develop lasting friendships.

Action : As medical students, we are concerned for the community around us and endeavor to do things for the benefit and improvement of our fellow citizens. Friendship : As future doctors, we aim to build and maintain a good relationship among our colleagues of the Asia Pacific and beyond.

AMSA INDONESIA Asian Medical Students’ Association Indonesia (AMSA-Indonesia) is the peak representative body for medical students in Indonesia. Founded in Yogyakarta, August 10th 1996. AMSA Indonesia has been actively participating in plethora of national and international events. Its contribution to AMSA International as the roots of the organization are impressive, having hosted four Asian Medical Students’ Conference (AMSC) in 1990, 1996, 2003, 2010 and East Asian Medical Students’ Conference (EAMSC) in 2006 and 2015
Vision AMSA-Indonesia as a place for self actualization of its members based on its very philosophy: Knowledge, Action, Friendship to bring more impacts to society.
Mission 1. To build good and effective communication between AMSAIndonesia and AMSA-universities. 2. To coordinate with representatives and strengthen the facilities needed by members of AMSA-universities to maximize their potentials. 3. To strengthen the well-established externalization of AMSAIndonesia. 4. To expand relations with GOs and NGOs to optimize the quality of activities.

AMSA UNHAS BACKGROUND AMSA-Unhas was founded on 2002 by three founders: dr. Yose, dr. Dimas, and dr. Akhtar. The observer, just needed 6 months to accept AMSA-Unhas as a member of AMSA-Indonesia. AMSA-Unhas has been developing very quick. In 2004, our members were accepted as a board in AMSA-Indonesia , in 2005 as a board of AMSA International

Making AMSA-Unhas as a place to improve the quality of its members and also raising the existence of AMSA-Unhas based on three philosophies of AMSA.
ISSION
1. To empower the member of AMSA-Unhas in growing and developing their interest and potential. 2. To strengthen the internal of AMSA-Unhas and maintain strong bond between every members in AMSA-Unhas. 3. To make a good relation between AMSA-Unhas and GO/NGOs in order to give better impact in society together. 4. To actively act and participate in AMSA-Indonesia and AMSA International.

ACADEMIC & RESEARCH Academic Training Program (ATP) Increase knowledge and interest of AMSA-Unhas members in making papers, scientific posters, public health posters, videos, photography, and white papers so they have enough knowledge to participate in academic competitions.
Exam Preparation (EXPERT) Preparing pre-clinical members of A M S A - U n h a s i n f a c i n g t h e o r y, practicum, and OSCE exams.
Debat Practice (DICE) Increase interest and ability of AMSAUnhas members in the English debate.
Multimedia and Scientific Training Program (MICRO) Providing a place for AMSA-Unhas members to channel their interests and develop their potential. Make it easy for AMSA-Unhas members to create works that will be sent at competitions. As well as increasing the achievements of AMSA-Unhas members in competitions in the fields of paper, poster, video, and photography.
Academic Bundle of Creations (ABDUCENS) Appreciate the works of AMSA-Unhas members who participated in national and international competitions and also as a source of reference for other members.

MEMBERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT AMSA-Unhas Anniversary Commemorating anniversary of AMSAUnhas and strengthening the relationship between all members of AMSA-Unhas.
Frequent Meeting To provide a forum for AMSA-Unhas members in issuing aspirations and suggestions on existing problems to be solved together and as a benchmark for improving the quality of the next work program and appreciating the performance of the board during the management period.
Open Recruitment AMSA-Unhas 18 To recruit new members of AMSAUnhas who are expected to be able to advance AMSA-Unhas speciďŹ cally, and AMSA in general according to the needs of AMSA Unhas human resource.
