Mike Skinner lost a few things after he got famous. One: part of his working-class fan base because he stopped rapping about kebab shops and started singing about shagging famous people. Two: the plot—at least for a while. His half-delirious show at 2004’s Lowlands is talked about, even to this day. Now, apparently, he’s sorted himself out and a new album will be released shortly. Let’s hope it’s good—and let’s also hope that he still doles out brandy to the people in the front rows of his shows.
