Idiosyncrasies
OH!
If you were expecting to find a story, this is not it. it’s not an editorial, even. (If you want to skip this and want to read a story—any story, which is also incidentally about this photo book—then go straight and turn left, to the last page. Go on, we won’t mind) This is really about an experience of a place. It’s just like watching a silent movie, except, this one is before the invention of words. I digress if I start to rely to much on words; plus words sometimes should not come between images, only sometimes (That’s why for majority of times, they have captions on them. But, I promise, not on this book) Allow me to tell you a story, with these beautiful images… It so happened, one fine day in Bangladesh…
Bangladesh or Bust! Unlike our last book, which was essentially about an experience, this is all about the place—Bangladesh. This book is about the beautiful place and those beautiful things called Memories. World would be such a dry place without them.
Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you come from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. The words ran through Tiffany’s mind as she watched the sheep, and she found herself fill up with joy – at the new lambs, at life, at everything. Joy is to fun what the deep sea is to a puddle. It’s a feeling inside that can hardly be contained. It came out as a laughter. ‘I’ve come back,’ she announced, to the hills. ‘Better than I went!’
A Hat full of Sky Terry Pratchett
...you go away so you can come back. It’s all about taking a different lane home, everytime. All the way...
