Located in the idyllic Bavarian village of Eitlöd, Die Hecke is the realisation of a unique gastronomic concept. Built on the cornerstones of hospitality, quality, ambiance and affordability, Die Hecke was conceived to deliver an unrivalled restaurant experience, catering for all culinary indulgences; from regional Bavarian delicacies, to international cuisine. In order to create the right atmosphere, the owners knew that mood lighting and audiovisual elements would be key technical ingredients. The planning and implementation of this ambitious project was undertaken by Munich-based company, WML, which has proven expertise in the catering sector. Lighting designer Werner Memmel and project manager Torsten Gresens, working in conjunction with interior designer Georg Leeb, developed an integrated lighting and multimedia concept which is helping Die Hecke achieve the perfect ambience for eating, and retreating.

Four discreetly integrated 10” Modero S Series touch panels provide staff with fingertip management of the lighting and AV elements including control of the scene-setting pre-sets in each room, audio server administration and signal source control throughout, as well as flexible output of video content and temporary projections. These easy to use, intuitive interfaces provide a technological dashboard for the system, bringing together all system components for over-arching control and 24/7 management and operation. With all rooms united by the central Enova DGX, an unrivalled degree of technological flexibility is achieved, allowing independent zones to be linked together or separated as required, as well as guaranteeing the future expandability and scalability of the system.

A NI-2100 integrated NetLinx controller and AMX Autopatch Precis LT deliver additional processing and matrix switching capability. Providing a professional solution for HD signal distribution, the Precis LT component and stereo matrix switcher routes HDTV/Component video and stereo audio signals, allowing for the simplified connection of multiple HDTV sources such as DVD players and satellite receivers to Die Hecke’s multiple displays. “We want to make our guests happy in any way we can.
