The Heroes logo represents the core of its brand identity --an iconic representation of what the Heroes brand consists of. As such, it’s important to note a few key guidelines when utilizing the Heroes logo. Allow .25 inch of space around the logo at all times. Do not skew, modify or cover the logo in any fashion. These requirements are meant to maximize the effectiveness of the logo and the Heroes brand. The Heroes logo features a gloved superhero hand eminating a glowing power. The intent of this logo is to make a bold statement through the use of color and dynamic line similar to comic book or graphic illustration. The logo is iconic in nature. The Heroes logo transcends age, as it recalls a time that everyone has imagined themself to be superhuman or extraordinary in some fashion. Therefore, the Heroes logo is a relavant, meaningful addition to its image. The logo may be used one of two ways. The default version of the logo consists of the Heroes hand juxtaposed with the Heroes name, as seen below. The second version of the logo, which consists only of the Heroes hand, may be used on Heroes merchandise only, as utilized in the Heroes temporary tattoo shown in the following pages.

The Heroes logo was designed with a simple, yet striking color palette. The primary colors used in the logo consist of black, white and a variation of red. The logo may only be reproduced in these colors, more specifically, white for the gloved hand, red for the power, and a black bounding box. Exceptions may be made when considering the background color onto which the logo is placed upon. In some circumstances, the black bounding box may be removed, leaving only the gloved hand and power rays visible. Another exception is for the Heroes tattoo, for which white may not be reproduced. In this instance, the gloved hand fill color would be transparent, revealing the natural skintone of the tattoo wearer. Careful consideration was used when selecting typefaces that represented the personality of Heroes. Utilize one of following; no substitutions should be used.

The Heroes business cards make use of the dynamic nature of the logo. The Heroes brand name, owner name and title and contact info are listed on one side; the Heroes logo occupies the other side of the card. The rays of the logo “bleed� onto the other side, which gives the card an abstract, interesting appeal. The text on the front side is set in MetroDF and Sansation. All text is aligned alongthe furthermost left margin, approximately .125 inch from the edge of the card.

The Heroes letterhead features the logo with extended rays that extend across the page; this image is printed as a watermark at 5% black. The logo is also formally dispalyed in red. At the top of the page, a bar with the signature blue Heroes rays extends across the top of the page, continuing the lines from the watermark. Margins on the left and right sides of the page are set at 1 inch, bottom at .5 inch, and top 1.25 inch. The baseline for the first line of text is approximately 2.25 inches from the top of the page. Text should be set to Helvetica 10pt.

Simple features and ease of access mark the major aspects of the Heroes web design. The site is designed to have a static, compact design, as there is no need to scroll; all content is located above the 550 pixel mark. Given that Heroes does not participate in online commerce, the focus is on providing information regarding store location, contact info and upcoming events. The design elements include a container anchored by a flowing banner with a backdrop of dynamic vector rays, reminiscent of the sky and flowing superhero capes.

Merchandise bags have been designed for Heroes most important product, comic books. The bag is made from brown kraft paper, which is similar in size to the dimensions of a comic book.

Heroes Comics t-shirts are printed on 100% cotton made fabric. As seen below, the preferred color of tshirt is black, with white and red printing. Tshirts could be utilized for multiple uses by the store - both as a merchandise item as well as prizes for tournament winners.
