News from the Managers Nicki and Tracey –

Firstly, we would like to wish Nabila a very happy birthday for this month. We would like to say a pre-empted congratulation to Gemma on her marriage, which is happening during this month! We all wish you a long and prosperous marriage  we have come to a decision about where the staff will be in September: Baby Studio Small Steps Freedom Zone Sana Mary Nabila Holly Sam Sonia Viviana Chelsea Gurpreet Marisa Mandy Gloria Qani Myra Pauline Kulwinder Sherry Simran Vaida Afshan So we would like to welcome Gloria and Afshan to our team, and they will be introducing themselves as and when they start, so please make sure you say hello. Gemma is not leaving us she has moved to mornings only and will be conducting our forest school sessions at both of our settings, as well as helping out in the rooms and ICT. We have a request from the rooms, if you are running late, even if it is just 5 minutes please call. Sometimes it can be a bit distressing for a child if they are the last one left with no explanation. Ideally, you should be here 5:50pm at the latest for sufficient feedback. After this time, it is hard for our staff to finish their checks if they are providing feedback. As from September 2015, we would really appreciate the use of umbrella buggies as we are very limited on space in to store them. If they are not folded or do not fit in our storage containers, then as of September, you will be asked to take them with you. We would like to say that we feel very privileged that you chose us as you child’s first steps towards education and that we will miss each and every one of you terribly. We know that whatever you chose to do in life, it will be fab and we wish you all the best of luck for your futures.

News from Deputy Carol-

From September, Book bags will be available for Freedom Zone to purchase. We will be running a Harvard Park library where children will be able to select their own books. At home, you can read to your child and look at these books, commenting in their reading record which we will provide. For the older children who are excelling at phonics, these can be used to hold their words to transport them to and from nursery. We would like to say thank you to Terence and his Nan for the donations she has recently brought in, Kai and his family for their donation and one of our ex mummy’s for her donation of girls clothes. Also thank you to Reyansh for the donation of his scooter and to Swara and her family for the donation of clothes, all are very useful to us and we really do appreciate them.

News from Bunnies –Holly, Sam, Simran and Sonia: Hello there! Firstly we would like to say goodbye to Anirudh, Swara, Lily, Dorcas, Jeremiah and Rhys who have or will be moving up into Freedom Zone at some point during this month. We would like to welcome Angad, Ayah, Lexi, David, Aurora, Jaylen, Kartik, Arnav and Surya who will be joining us at some point in August! This month’s topic is summer awareness and Summer Holidays! We will be talking and exploring the concept of the importance of sun hats and sun cream when we are out and about in the sun. As well as this, we will be doing many activities which link to our theme such as creating beach scenes using different textures and materials, making sandcastles in our outdoor sandpit, using junk modelling to create our own models of transport to get us on our holidays and also lots of water play to keep us cool on those hot days! As the weather is getting increasingly hotter, please ensure that we have a bottle of your child’s preferred sun cream in our possession for when we go out on trips or in the garden. If you also want to provide light clothing such as vest or shorts, we are more than happy to change your child during the hotter parts of the day. We do have sun hats at nursery, however these are limited. Please bring in a sunhat with your child and we will be happy to label it for you, with your permission.

Your mission this month is to: -Email us a picture of you and your family on holiday so we can

pop it into your learning journals! Also ask a member of staff for some sticky labels so we can add things to your parent’s page!
