Harvard Park Day Nursery Feltham: July Newsletter 2016. News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey and Deputy Manager, Carol –

Firstly, we would like to wish Carol and Simran a happy birthday for this month. We would also like to say Goodbye to those of you who are leaving us this month. We feel very privileged that you chose us to give your child their first steps into education. We wish you all the best for the future and keep in touch! Thank you for all of those who have co-operated with the buggies, its great seeing so many children on scooters. Just a reminder to please fold your buggies down as there is now enough space to put them away. Set up your buggy before you collect your child and move it to the side, leaving the doorway free from obstruction. On busy buggy days, if you are waiting outside the front door, please be patient. Our main priority is keeping the children in the lobby safe from harm. Please be patient with us and parents/carers picking up. Thank You. A reminder for our funded children who are leaving to go to school or nursery: you last funded day will be Friday 26th August. If after this date you need to stay on, you will be charged for these. Please see the managers if you have any questions or queries. Please inform us of your last day with us!  We would like to say thank you to Zack and his family, Charlotte and on old student of ours, Kasia for the donations of toys and games. They are great and they have proved useful already! You will all be receiving new invoices within the first few weeks of July which include our price increase from September the 1st. Please read any emails you may receive from us. They often include important information.

News from Baby Studio –Simran, Mary, Marisa, Esra and Nehar : Hello, we would like to welcome Photizo, Rishiska, Tejasvi and Sumayra into our room. For this month, we will be continuing our outdoor physical development. All children will be making a visit to our outdoor area as we have a lot of mobile children. Please ensure they have appropriate shoes and coats. We will also be developing our fine motor skills by doing lots of mark making using different materials such as crayons and paintbrushes. We will also be doing lots of dancing and musical movements, so if you have any cultural cd’s at home bring them in so we can all share in the music. Baby Studio will also be making lots of trips around our local area, so please ensure you provide your child with a hat like this image and a bottle of sun-cream, both labelled with their names. Ensure that your child has a good amount of changing clothes. 2/3 pairs of trousers, 2/3 tops and 2/3 baby grows or vests is sufficient. They do have accidents with food or nappies and if you have any of our spares could you please return them. Please label all bottles and clothing, if this is inconvenient for you we can also do it but we do need your permission to do so. Thank You. If the room is empty, please be patient with us as we do use the Enchanted forest for activities and that is where we will be. Please remember to sign your child in and out of the room, the signing ipn board is situated by the door. Your mission this month is to: - Send us pictures of you and your children out and about for our parent input! Send them via email or Facebook and we will print them off.

explore. If you have any ideas of what activities we can do, we would love to know. The children will also be dressing up in a range of costumes and accessories to help develop their imaginary play. If you have any unwanted accessories at home, please bring them in and we can add them to our collection. Can we please ask that you refrain from bringing toys into nursery? We cannot be held responsible if they get lost, it also causes arguments and upset between the children especially if they are not yet confident at sharing. Also encourage your child to find their name card at the front door every morning or afternoon. We are helping them to make the transition into Freedom Zone by introducing selfregistration. A few have been misplaced so do not worry if your child’s name is not there, they are being re-made.

Your mission this month is to: - Engage in role play with your child, use simple lanuage to build new words, understading and socialibility. You can get out pots and pans from the kitchen and pretend to cook, pretend to bath the toys or put teddies to bed.
